Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The university ensures that we receive situational based questions in our tests rather than theory aspects which helps us to evaluate real life situations better. It makes the exams difficult but it is most useful when we go for internships. As assignments we are to write case studies and research papers which indeed helps to develop research skills.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 9th semester a student is eligible for placement only if they do not have any backlogs. Wipro, hdfc bank are few companies who have previously visited or campus. Last year the highest package offered was 10L p.a, and on an average it was 6L p.a. I plan on taking placement in the future as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee per year is 140000, there is no other compulsory charges applied when registering. Scholarships are offered by the university to students on merit based with the recommendation of the faculty coordinator.

Campus Life

3.5

As of now I have participated into competitions or educational workshops and seminars only. There are several clubs with new events every other week. The faculty greatly encourage us to join on the events and enjoy it. We also have a student council.

Admission

I chose this college upon the basis of rank, CMR law school is in the top 10 best private law schools in India, and at the time of admission it was on 19 rank. Looking upon this and speaking to the faculty of the college I decided to take admission. I first tried to get into NLUs but did not get into the desired ones. For admission in CMR one must submit their clat ranking and file an application. When I joined there was a entrance test I don't know if it is still taken.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are very friendly and definitely approachable. They ensure to clear our doubts and help with assignments. We have 2 internal tests per semester which holds 20 marks of our internal marks. The total internal marks is out of 50 and upon attaining atleast 25 marks out of 50 we are held eligible to write the final exam. The final exam is out of 50 marks wherein 20 marks is the passing score. Internals marks are also provided by means of assignments and aggregation of all these the final result is given after the end Sem exam

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.

The worst they are very unfair the faculties leak the question papers for money and take money from students under the table for clearing their backlogs nd for year back. Most faculties are worthless they don't kn how to teach or explain they discriminate on the basis of ethnicity.
