Course Curriculum Overview

5

Students choose this course according to their respective reasons, my reason for choosing this course is the happiness that we get after treating a patient I also love to read about different diseases, their treatment and about how India has developed itself into heathcare sector. Curriculum provided by the college is satisfactory. My college although being private is associated with 3 government college, where we get good pateint inflow, hence giving us real life experience. Through there are certain areas of improvement like facilities provided to the patients and their family. Different professors have different teaching styles which are not suitable for all, hence even if facilities are well experienced they should work on their methods like some read only from ppt. Although exams are moderate in difficulty, they cover enough intellectual aspects. 3 internals from college side and 1 from University side takes place. Timing of exams is kept according to total marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 3 quota students in college.Tuition fees for these are- 1. Government quota- there are approx 100 seats under this category.fees is 1,51,000 and invreasing following years. Students with karnataka domicile come under this category. 2. Merit/private quota- rest seats are under this and management quota and fee is 9,81,000 for our batch and increasing following years.Non-karnataka students with above cutoff marks comes under this category. 3. Management quota- fees for this quota is variable depending on rank ,maybe approx 20 lakhs to 50 lakhs per annum. I fall in merit category Tuition fees are described above. Other fees including everything is 45,000 per year There are scholarship availability

Campus Life

Our college fest( name based on themes)occurs every alternate year for 1 month duration and it is a very huge and very exciting fest. Our Library is 2nd biggest library of Asia because it helds a tonnes of resources offline and digitalalso Accessibility of books and journals are excellent There are digital screens and projectors in every classroom and facilities are upto mark. Our college has good facilities for sports encouragement currently our college is in finals of cricket Intercollege competition. We have facilities for various outdoor sports like cricket, basket ball, volleyball and indoor games like chess, tabletennis,Badminton, Kho-kho and equipments are available. There are so much students clubs such as literacy club etc run by students and also we have students association group which is supported by our congress mla. These have a good impact in our life .we learn so many things like leadership qualities, social interactions etc

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Registration process for hostel is after you get done by college admission process.when you visit hostel there is warden who will show you rooms,if you like hostel then you have to fill admission form and submit DD for fees yearly.facilities provided are- washroom attached, cupboards included, water and geyser supply 24 hours, security guards, rare electricity cuts, good mess in hostel, reading room,TV hall, spacious, laundry facilities.meal quality is very good.we get 3 time food everday only last day of month is off

Admission

I did apply in All India Counselling. But didn't get a seat because of insufficient marks, the ones i get a seat were not feom my selected ones I choose this college among other selected colleges because of its good reputation, relatively less fess, association with government College and also after talking to some seniors. The other colleges that i applied to have higher cutoff, hence i was not able to get a seat in them. Admission process- karnataka is an open state for counselling for all india students.form is filled online and get college according to their ranks.I got this college in mop up round (last round). After getting the college we have to go to KEA karnataka for submitting our tuition fees as DD and documents then after clearing all things we go to our college , there we fill admission form and submit rest documents and pay other fees.Exam accepted for college is NEET only.cutoff is around 600 marks out of 720.overall admission process is good but little bit hectic

Faculty

4.5

There is approximately 1:20 faculty to student ratio. Student-faculty relation is very good, interactive.Professors are very helpful in studies, doubts, counselling for non academic matters, very supportive for research works As a 2nd professional year student,we like anatomy, physiology, pathology department very much as these subjects are very difficult but the faculty supports us in every way to help us through out Best faculties are- Dr kulkarni (HOD, pathology), Dr Smilee vivian (physiology department), Dr. Ashwini S(physiology department). We don't like microbiology and biochemistry department as these department are not that good as the other ones. There are 3 professional phases(I,II,III phase). In Each year, 3 internals with gap of 3 mnths are taken by college, last final university taken by rguhs board.Exams are moderate in difficulty but somestudents do fail in exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.

There is no such improvement is required. We don't have to give soo much exam but the syllabus we have to cover its not much

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year
