Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum follows the recommended guidleines of NMC. It is relevant to practical application as well as the theory examination point of view. Different books are referred by different professors to give a more rounded approach to the subject matter.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is a natural part of MBBS course. U can work in the 4 affiliated hospitals with the college - the government hospital, private hospital, mother & child care hospital, opthalmology hospital. From 2nd year onwards there are postings in all hospitals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for the general merit seat for the year 2023-24 is 1.48 lakh. There is no increase in that amount throughout the course. An additional 45,000 fees was collected as miscellaneous fees for the college since it's a private college. For a private seat it starts at ~ 12 lakh/pa

Campus Life

3

The library is large and extensive. It houses various textbooks as well as journals and reviews. There are also many readings rooms. Classrooms all have functioning projectors and sound systems. Sports teams are present that play at district and state level tournaments.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 3 girls hostels and 2 boys hostels at UG level. The girls hostels are decently maintained. Some provide mess facility and some do not. 2 of them have common bathrooms while the third has attached washroom, AC etc. It is easy to commute to college from the hostels. It is safe.

Admission

The admission process is via KEA. The reasons for choosing JJM over other colleges is because of its reputation over the years, its very high patient inflow and exposure to various kinds of cases at UG level itself. It is academically well reputed as well. Networking is made a lot easier thanks to the large alumni base.

Faculty

4

Each department has about 10-12 teaching staff. There are technicians in all labs. they engage a student body of 120 or 60 or 30 student at a time. There are 3 internal examinations followed by a university wide final examination. The internals follow the pattern of having theory exams followed by practicals.

Other Applied Colleges
