IIT Roorkee also focuses on mental & physical health. There is an institute hospital which remains open 24 hours a day & for mental health student can avail the facility of 1to1 counseling which will help the students whenever they need. Apart from the counselors, we have a helpline number on which the students can call if they are not feeling well.

The course curriculum of IIT Roorkee is solely designed by IIT Roorkee & it will keep on changing as per the current market & social demand. In that process, the students' input is also taken. During our semester we have 1 mid-term examination, 1 end-term examination, & 3 surprise quizzes.

Placements of IIT Roorkee is very good & it is increasing year by year. More than 500 companies visit our campus every year that too for each and every profile. The student also gets an offer from big companies like Google, Microsoft, etc & international offers from Microsoft, Uber, Mercari, etc.IIT Roorkee also provides internships to its students & from internships based on their performance students can also get a Pre-Placement Offer from the company they interned with.

There are 4 events on the Institute level & many events of student groups. The 3 events on the institute level are: 1. Thomso- This is an institute cultural fest & in this fest many national-level artists, celebrities come to judge or to perform. 2. Sangram- This is the institute sports fest. Many colleges from all around the country come to compete during this fest. 3. Cognizance- This is an institute technical fest. In these many workshops & competitions are organized. Also to maintain the balance the event end with celebrity night. Apart from these 3 big events our college organize events for all the student groups like Jashn, FOS, E-summit etc.

The fee structure is feasible & there is also merit-cum-means scholarship for the student good in academics & apart from merit-cum-means scholarship there are many scholarship opportunities given to the students. For example James Thomson Scholarship, Alumni Scholarships, etc.

IIT Roorkee gives merit-cum-means scholarship(MCM) to its student in which your tuition fees are returned back to you. Those students having an annual income of less than 5lpa & having more than 6 CGPA can apply for this MCM scholarship.

Students also get full opportunity to follow their hobbies here at IIT Roorkee. There are student groups for each & everything for example Music section, Dance & Choreography Section, Electronics Section, Robotics Section, Astronomy Club, Rowing Club, Cricket, Badminton & all sports, etc. Institute provides trainers to the students in that group & also they provide the kits to the students interested in any of the sports. The lab facilities are also very good. All the labs are equipped with all the necessary & latest tools as per the requirement of the students. Also, you can work late-night if you are finding it hard to work in the morning hours because of classes, etc. Here we also have the latest technology like 3D-printing, PCB printing, etc.

The hostel facility of IIT Roorkee is very good. All the hostel have their own study room, library, gym, TV Room, Playground & mess. The bathrooms are well furnished & geysers, soap-dispensers, etc are installed in every bathroom. There are water coolers installed in the hostels. The rooms are spacious. All the repair facilities are also available at no extra cost by the hostel.

We have a portal for the Alumni network & a separate group for this which is called Institute Alumni Relation Cell(IARC). Alumni from various batches also provide scholarships to meritorious & needy students. If students are finding it hard to decide what they really want they can also contact the alumni & ask themselves.

The faculty are really good they put so much effort during the lecture class & also they are available for any kind of doubt clearance outside the class. Also if any of the students are really good at academics & wants to do any research project under them or any other teacher from any other college then the faculty always help suck kind of students.
