There are no ragging in this college seniors are friendly and environment is good.
Faculty of the campus is good and supportive and always push students .
There are many events take place in campus in which students can participate and show their talent.

The amount of practical knowledge and work is less

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many curriculum in my first year of my BTech Civil with gives me knowledge about computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and about my more branches. Which helps me to find my interest and to get to select suitable branch of engineering for me.

There are many internship program started by university university helps students to find their internship and jobs after graduation. Companies like TCS,Tech mahindra, Google, Facebook, microsoft, GMR come to select students and gives internship and jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 33500 in one semester and 67000 yearly . Addmission fees is 10000 in which 5000 is security fees which is refundable . There are scolership available for OBC, SC, ST and general students who's family income is less.

Campus Life

The campus life is good. The faculty and seniors are great and supportive who help new students to adjust in college and hostel. There are many student run social groups and clubs which are passed from one to other. The library are large p there are many subject related books are there.

Admission

I choose this university because it is best in my area and near to my house from where I can do up-down daily. The environment of this university is good and this is one of the best university in kangra and himachal pradesh.

The faculty to student ratio is well and good. The relationship between students and teachers are good they are supportive and always push their students to find their passion and intrest. There are 3 exams in a semester 2 MST of 10 marks and a final exam of 60 marks .

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Admission:

I prepared for 2 years then cleared jee mains exam. The preparation was not hard though you need to be consistent with your studies. After the result I filled my counselling on jossa.nic.in with the priorities of colleges and branches. After that there were 7 rounds I got my seat in 6th round.
