College life at SKASC

The course curriculum is relevant to the course and the teaching methods are accordingly. They have a good course learning procedure and its all outcome based. The semester examination are conducted for a duration of 3 hours and for marking scheme of 50 and that is sufficient enough to compelete the paper with a good score.

The college allowed us to do various internships and the bonafide should be get accordingly for the and we went to internships to companies of our own interest and are only allowed during the summer or winter break. No stipends are given for undergraduate students and postgraduate get some stipend according to the company they choose to go. The department of bioscience allowed us to go to Various companies in and around Coimbatore like Microbiological laboratory, Aavin milk and many.

The college has a good placement facility and many companies including Zifo, Accenture, Intellipaat, KGISL, TCS, Airtel and many other companies visit for on campus and they offer varied packages from 300000 lpa average for Bsc students and 700000lpa for Msc students. Many of the students got placed. Many wished to pursue higher education too and have choosen to continue it there or somewhere else too.

The registration fee and the application fee for microbiology course is around 2000 and the tution fees including lab fees and the development fees and the caution deposit and the other compulsory miscellaneous charges cost around 80K. And the fee structure varies for each and every department. Scholarships can be availed for the students whose annual income is less than 800000LPA and the merit should be above 80% in 12th and 10th class.

The classrooms are provided with all smartboards and have high and good computer labs in them. The college motivates students to participate in many activities and other extra curricular works and they encourage students to participate in sports and they have big stadiums and basketball courts and football fields and wide athletic tracks. There are many clubs and activities like NSS, NCC and various other club activities.

The hostel facilities are good and they are food provided are quite good to eat and they have gym facilities in them and other shops inside the hostel and they have ATM's inside them and we needn't come out for any as they have everything inside the hostel. The hostel has vending machines and they water service is there 24/7. The hostel fee is around 105000 and they give you quite good food and if you are bored of eating hostel food, you can eat in the shops in the hostel. The rooms are allocated with the availability and all the departments are shuffled for the room allocation.

The admission process of the college is quite a simple process, it checks for the 12th class score, which should be above 65% and the person is easily accepted in the college. The college doesn't have any specific entrance exams , its just based on the 12th score.

There are 60 students per class to 10 - 20 teachers per department. The faculties are quite helpful and they'll assist with the projects you do and they are quite supportive. The college conducts three internal exams and one external exam per semester. The exams are quite easy to clear and the majority of the students can clear the exams well and good. The course curriculum is well relevant to the course and the course learning outcomes are as expected.
