Everything about MCA course at Kiit University

-> The IT industry is developing day by day. The demand for skilled IT professionals is also increasing. MCA provides a deep knowledge about many computer applications. It will provide you in depth practical knowledge. That's why I chose this course. -> The mid semester exams are of 1 hour and the semester exams are of 2 hours. The semester exams are conducted in every 5 months .

The college will provide intership opportunity to some specific students who will be performing well in their academics. The students can also find internship of the own from any other companies. The last semester i.e the 4th semester includes project and internship. You have to make projects to demonstrate your skill.

The campus placement at Kiit University is excellent for Btech students. The one who will be persuing MCA have to seat with the Btech students during the placement sessions. Obviosly btech students will be given priority over MCA students. So I would say that the placement rate for MCA is quiet decent but the university should also focus on giving priority to MCA students during placements.

The course fees for persuing MCA from Kiit University is Rs 1,20,000 per semester. Which is Rs 2,40,000 yearly and as it's a 2 year course consisting of 4 semesters therefore the total course fee is Rs 4,80,000. In addition to the total course fee a one time fee of Rs 75,000 will be charged which includes Rs 10,000 for registration and Rs 65,000 for laptop and books. For those who want to avail hostel,extra Rs 2,00,000 will be charged for the 2years.

-> Apart from studies, Kiit University offers an excellent campus life. You can interact with many students who are from different states even from different countries. It has around 2100 international students from 60 different countries. -> It has a central library which is one of the best library of Asia having a wide range of books both printed and digitally saved. -> The classrooms are very spacious imstalled with Air Conditioner. -> Each and every classroom also has a smart board. -> Kiit also has an activity centre which offers you to be a part of a group of students having similar interest in dancing, singing, acting etc. -> Kiit has every type of playground for every sports. And it also provides opportunities for it's students to showcase there talent even at national and international level. In 2024 Paris Olympics, 14 students from Kiit University had participated.

-> Kiit is the most reputed college of Odisha and it is also listed among the top institutions of India holding a rank of 15 in the latest NIRF ranking. -> I had also applied for SOA but I didn't appear in the entrance exam as I had already qualified the KIITEE (entrance exam of Kiit) exam. -> After appearing for the KIITEE entrance test the results are declared within 2 weeks. After the declaration of results, counselling are held through online mode. The counselling results are declared within 1 week and then you have to report on the day informed by Kiit for document verification and identity card.

-> There are around 450 students in our batch divided into 5 sections. The number of faculties is around 11. -> The course includes 4 semesters. -> The evaluation plan is mentioned below :- * Mid semester test - 20 marks * End semester test - 50 marks * Other assesment ( Assignments and class test):- 30 marks
