Campus Life

3.5

Freshers party is not a part organised in this college. But different festivities are surely celebrated here. Well improvised lecture halls and Labs are available here. Central Library here is greatly supplied with no. of books and thesis and research papers. There is a journal room consisting of many international and Indian journals. There is also an E-library here.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 2 seater and 3 seater rooms available in hostels. There are 3-4 hostels for girls and same number for boys...each accommodating different branches and batches. There is a huge central mess for whole college which is well lighted and really hygienic and comforting place to have food. 4 meals a day are served in mess. Hostel including mess charges are as follows: 2 seater -1,35,000 per year 3 seater -90,000/yr Each room has a bed, table and chair, a book shelf and an almirah. Best thing here is attached washroom and bathroom (seperated) in every room.

Admission

I considered all the government medical colleges of my state. But due to high inflation in 2024 couldn't clear the cutoff. As SAIMS is the best private medical college of the state, I chose to pursue my mbbs degree from this college. Eligibility is your NEET score. This time in 1st round opening marks were 612 and closing marks were 606. Because my score was 611...I was alloted saims in 1st round itself.

Faculty

3.5

Each subject has a good number of faculties including Professors and tutors. Atleast 18 and more faculty are there in each department which is a great number as of 250 students in a batch. Sri Aurobindo University performs two exams for each subject each year. Paper 1 and paper 2 in a gap of 3-4 months. Exam level is quite moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
