Course Curriculum Overview

5

I prefer to join this course in way that the people in India specially needs doctors and there are very less numbers of doctors present in India So as far as talking about the course detail related to real world experiences than i must say there is a very good facility as out of 6 days in a week we have to go to different departments like gynaecology or surgery etc to learn the things for example dealing with the patient etc etc Overall the things in the college is reallu really good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sri Aurobindo institute of medical sciences or SAIMS is a medical college where the fees of a student is 1625400 with tuition fee. This is a annual fees which this college takes but if you are a medhavi chahtra means if you scored good in neet exam and get admission thorough the exam and you are able to fill crieteria of medhavi scholarship than the govt of madhya pradesh will pay your fees but in return you have to sign 5 year rural bond where government will send you in rural areas as a medical practitioner. Now if you want a direct admission than you have to pay all your fees but than also the neet exam is necessary but the result of this exam only need you to be qualified. There is quota called as NRI quota through which you can apply directly into the college and you have to pay your fees all by yourself and the government will not provide any support to you. There is another scholarship named as post matric. If you are belonging from sc/st caste than you can go through neet exam and get admission in this college but the thing is if you are belonging to obc than only 15-20% of fees will be given by you and rest will pay by govt and if you are belonging to sc/st caste than all the fees will be payed by govt and you dont have to pay any tution fees in the college. Like in medhavi here also you have to sign rural bond where you have to give the duty in rural areas but here only for 2 years instead that of medhavi which is of 5 years.

Campus Life

The annual event in our college named as HARMONY and it is a great event although we have not experienced it yet because pf funds issues but we have listened about it as it includes different sports cultural programs and many more including concert dj nights and many more This year it will be our 1st experience because the event is starting from 9th of march. The books and journals are easily available for the students and they are free of cost but if you get late to submit it you have to pay the fine and which is compulsory for each and every student.

Admission

I choose this college as this college offers me a good infrastructure and a better environment where one can study by their own. Also the faculties of this college as mention in previous slide are highly knowledgeable and are all MBBS graduates and done PG in various fields Although I registered many collages but i got 3 or 4 of them out of which it was easier for me to pick it There is a secondary reason for choosing this college is that my home location is much more nearere to this college and i can up down from my home easily daily to the college. Other college i applied includes MGM medical college indore , ratlam government medical coll , rewa ,sagar, peepals college bhopal , Jabalpur medical college etc etc I got all the private college but i choose SAIMS as my priority because it is top most private college in mp and comes in top 5 colleges of mp including both govt and private colleges. I got rejected from othere college as my marks are not that kuch to make it there and they need marks more than 600 out of 720 in neet exam and i have scored less that 600. For admission you have to give neet exam and that is the only way you can get admission in pur college Otherwise you can apply directly by giving fees to the college but than also you have to give the neet exam. Neet exam have a cutoff for my college above 520 but in recent year (2024) it goes above 600 and student less than that can not able to get the college.

Faculty

5

Faculty of the college are very good and very knowledgeable as we can reach them anytime in college hours and they are available for us anytime we need them. The relationship between students and faculty mainly depends on the behaviour of students as how much respectful their attitude is towards their teacher. Also there is a mentor mentii program going on in college where every student is assigned as mentii to different professors who are asigned as mentor for the students and the professors are taking good care for the students they are given as mentii. My favourite professor is of course my mentor from pharmacology department.

Night Life

5

There is a gym cafeteria library and public areas around the college. The gym and library are free for college students and cafeteria have 2 cafes and many stalls which offers you many type of delecious and affordable foods which are hygienic. There is a garden infront of the college where there are different things for children and adults can go and chill out there Raoming late at night is quiet safe in the college as there are many guards and all of them are highly trained and developed their skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
