Remarks

The College Management was pretty helpful in most cases such as Fees, Examinations, Lab Setups, Practicals etc. Points in which the Management can improve 1. Hiring more Experience Professors2. Increasing the Quality of Teaching by using more modern metho

Entrance Preview

I had taken IIT JEE, AIEEE and MH CET entrance Exams. Of which I got into Jondhale College with 50% weightage of my AIEEE marks and 50% weightage of my 12th Std PCM marks through the CAP round. I had always wanted to do Computer Science Engineering and since I got this college straight forward in the CAP round, I went ahead and chose the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course curriculum was good, although it was a bit old for the current market. After I passed out, I had to undergo separate professional training for Programming languages such as Java and .Net for being eligible into IT companies. Although, the curriculum definitely helped me strengthen my Basic Know-How about Computer Systems and Mathematics.

Internships Opportunities

There were no companies who came forward for offering Internship, although a bunch of us could use our contacts and collaborate with small IT companies to create our Final Year Projects. There was no Stipend.

Placement Experience

1.5

The Placement Cell of the College was able to collaborate with other Engineering colleges in Mumbai for providing a Job Opportunity. But since this was a collaboration, instead of a batch of 50 odd eligible students applying for 20 positions, it was more than 200 pupils. Although 10-15 students from our college could manage to get placed with Infosys, TCS, Accenture and L&T Infotech for an average Package of 3.5 Lakhs per Annum.

College Events

3

There were two major Inter-collegiate events hosted by our College. One of them was a Tech-Fest which had Technological events such as Robotics, Lan Gaming, Coding/Programming, White Papers Presentations, Technical Debates etc. which saw participation from many other Engineering Colleges from Mumbai Second was Cultural/Sports Fest. This was more of an Intra-Collegiate Festival. It had events such as Singing, Dancing, Public Speaking, Cultural Games, Cricket, Football, Badminton and Table Tennis. We used to have participation from all the Departments of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since Jondhale College did not have a Goverment Grant, the Fees was expensive. Although, since I got admission directly through the CAP round, the fees was a little less as compared to students who got admission in Mangement Quota.Overall as compared to other Engineering Colleges in Mumbai and the quality of education Jondhale College is Expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Education Loans from Banks are easily available for Engineering Courses from our college. This includes All types of Banks be it Private or Public or Co-operative Banks

Campus Life

2.5

Gender Ratio was 60:40 with respect to Males vs Females. It was slightly skewed towards the Males when it came to Heavy departments such as Production, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. The college was pretty peaceful with Students and Professors acknowledging and Tolerating each other. There were no clashes or protests by any Student Council with the Management. Any issues raised by the Student Council was addressed satisfactorily. We had a lot of students from lower Economic Status who were never made to feel bad and hence can be concluded that the college was pretty Tolerant.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

I don't have an experience with the College Hostel and Mess since I used to stay with my parents. I dont think the college had any Hostel or Mess Facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

There was not Alumni Network in the College. I did not in my entire 4 Years of College meet with anyone from the Alumni offering advice and guidance on Career Paths and their Experiences.

Exam Structure

The University exams and Labs were of a Semester Pattern and hence used to happen twice a Year. The college used to have two extra exams per Semester which used to be used in evaluating the Internal Marks for each Student.Out of the 6 months assigned for

Faculty

2.5

The Faculty was average. It was a mix of very new inexperienced professors for whom this was their first job and old highly experienced professors who have been teaching the same subjects for more than 10 years. All of the professors had a Masters Degree
