COLLEGE CHRONICLES : An in-depth review of MNNIT Allahabad

I have chosen the course Electronics and Communication Engineering. I find the course to be relevant in upcoming future. the scope of this branch is good . In ECE department , we have both options, hardware as well as software. Semiconductors are future , hence, i find this branch to be very relevant in future.

MNNIT Allahabd offers various internshi opportunitea for students accross different departments on campus placements departmental projects summer internships industry collaborations IT and Software Firms :- TCS,Infosys, Wipro ,Cognizant Core Engineering Companies:- L&T, BHEL,NTPC etc

From 4 th year students become eligible for college placements Companies like Microsoft, Google , Goldman Sachs, Texas Instreuments , Qualcomm etc visit the campus every year and the offers made are good in number and packges offered are great. Total percentage of students placed in 2024 is slightly less due to recession which is 80% I am not sure about which way im gonna opt in future but mostly i am dirverted towards Core companies of ECE Branch

The Hostel fee is 1200rs per semester . The Institute fee is 10000rs per semester. The user charges is 9000rs per semester. The caution money is a.) institue- 2000 b.) Hostel- 2000 c.) Library- 1000 this 5000 rs is one time in first semester The tution fees is 62500 per semester The Mess Fee is 25000 per semester Day scholars have to pay 12000 less . SC/ST/pwd student tution fees is not applicable. financially weak students also get fee remission full fee remission for less than 1 lakh income yearly 2/3rd fee remission for 1 lakh to 5 lakh income yearly

MNNIT Allahabd Cultural fest is Culrav MNNIT Allahabd Tech fest is Aviskar Both of them are organised in Novemeber mid For Freshers SWAGAT is organised after one month of classes Library contains plenty of books and enough for students some of the classes are well equipped with AC's and Smart boards where as some are really old Campus have its own football ground, basketball ground etc Every floors of hostel have their own common room with TT table and Carrom Board Students run their own clubs and committees

For first year , Rooms are equipped with 4 bed, 4 almirahs and 4 table chair Sleeping room and study room is different Mess food is pure veg and the quality is good enough Every day in breakfast cornflakes milk banana bread and jam is present and the main course gets changing daily

I chose MNNIT Allahabad because it is one of the best NIT's in our country.It is an Institue of National importance. I applied for IITs and BITS but unfortunately i was not getting my prefered branch or prefered location therefore the best i can get was MNNIT Allahabad. MNNIT Allahabad is amongst the top 3 NIT's . The Medican package is highest among all the NIT's. MNNIT Allahabd accepts JEE Main rank . We have to apply in JOSSA and CSAB counselling to get into this prestigious Insitute. Cutoff for CSE general is aroung 3000-4000 The competion to get into this institution is cut throat .

Most of the faculty members are well trained and ofcourse some are not. My Digital Electeronics professor focus on teaching and not only writing on the board and just narrating. My Basic Electronics professor doesnt care wheter the studens are getting the topic or not , he opens his ppt and starts narrating and doesnt even give time to make notes. faculty to student ratio might be 1:20 in one semester there are 2 exams, mid sem and end sem exams. the marking scheme is 20 marks for mid sem 60 marks for end sem and 20 marks for teacher assessment. The cousre is more over relevant, only physics and maths is irrelevant .
