Course Curriculum Overview

4

Psychology as a field is very dynamic and intersting. I would suggest taking up this course if you want to understand human behaviour and all it's complexities. The exam structure: Internal exam for 20 marks. There are a total of 2 internal exams, out of which the first is compulsory to attempt. If you happen to not quality, or miss the exam for any serious reason, you will be permitted to sit for the second one. Division - 5ques for 2 marks (all compulsory) , 3 ques for 5 marks (out of which 2 are to be attempted). External/Semester examination is for 70 marks. Division - 10ques for 2mrks (all), 10ques for 5mrks (attempt 5). The rest of the 10 marks are for assignments and class presentations. The exams are fairly easy if you're a regular student and you also ensure that you study the course material well. Ps: The BA course alone is not enough to secure your understanding and proficiency in the subject so consider persuing it for Master's as well.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

For BA Psychology Hons. , you will be given an internship in Thane Mental Health Hospital for a month's duration. (You may also opt for some other mental health unit, but an internship is compulsory). The MA students are also provided a similar opportunity for a certain amount of fee. This opportunity helps in gaining practical skills and knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for BA Psychology Hons. is 40,000 PA. Not increasing as of now. Admission fee: 1000 Seat Booking: 10000 ( To be deducted from the total fee of the year. Total fee to be paid later becomes 30000). Scholarship for Merit students (75% and above) : 10000

Campus Life

4

The Aarambh is the fresher's event that is held once every year. It is quite a wide scale gathering where students from all courses gather together for an evening of various entertainments including fashion walks, dance and band performance, amongst other things. Celebrities like Chunky Pandey, Amisha Patel have been a part of the event. There are also smaller events held for the hostel students, including Ganesh Chaturthi and Garba nights during Durga puja.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel structure: (EXCLUDING MESS) 1. Tripple Seater (non AC) for 80,000. 2. Tripple Seater (AC) for 1,00,000. 3. Double Seater (non AC) for 95,000. 4. Double Seater (AC) for 1,15,000. MESS - 4000 : 1. meal one - breakfast + beverages 2. meal two - lunch 3. meal three - snacks + beverages 4. meal four - dinner The hostel facilities include: 1. Cleaning done by appointed people 6 days a week (including washroom and shower cleaning once a week) 2. Individual almirahs, beds, pillow, bedsheet, pillow cover, quilt, book shelf, and desk. 3. Personal showers and washrooms in each room. (The shower and toilet and in two seperate closed spaces with a detached sink as well).

Admission

I got accepted for MIT-WPU, Pune, but I chose this university over MIT because of it's affordability. The admission process includes filling an online application for admission. You are eligible to apply for the college through Board exams or thorough CUET exams. The cutoff is generally not very intense. You will be able to enter the university and pursue the course you want with average marks as well. The admission cell is quite supportive and helpful.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is very well versed in their fields of education. They are all quite warm and welcoming, as well as willing to co-operate with the students to increase the class efficiency. All the professors in the department, including the new HOD ma'am are great teachers as well as mentors. There are a total of 3 examination throughout the semester. 2 internal exams, out of which 1 is compulsory. (for 20 marks) One External or Semester Exam for 70 marks. The remaining 10 marks are for assignments. The exams are fairly easy if you're attentive in class and take notes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.
