Course Curriculum Overview

3

1- Course curriculum is relevant but there is no practical knowledge, application based learning. 2- you'll learn the theoretical part but there is no opportunity for internships and societies. 3- they should definitely improve their teaching methods. Most of the teachers are not even present. 4- semester exams happen every 6 months and mid sems in between. Difficulty level is quite doable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Iam in Darshan shah college, under Purnea University which is in Katihar. First, you have to apply for the college for which a general candidate has to pay 600 INR. If you have reservation under SC/ST or you're a female student then you'll be exempted from this application fee as far as I know. Now, after getting shortlisted in the merit list, you have to pay the admission fee, which is around 2400 INR for B.com(H). After that, every semester you'll have to pay 600 INR for registration, and 600 INR for Examination form, so that sums up to 1200 INR per year, and 4800 INR in 4 years. Then you'll have to purchase books and guess papers to crack the exams, so that is also an expense which you'll have to pay every semester. So, I think in less than 10,000 INR, you'll complete your graduation. P.S: This fee structure is for general candidates, remember that if you're a reserved candidate or a girl child then you'll have to pay much less.

Campus Life

0.5

No clubs, no societies, no extra curriculars. Some sport events happen i guess as far as i have heard but that too is not sure. College has library but there is no book. Don't expect the college to add any value into your life. You just have to improve yourself. The college will play zero role in it.

Admission

I was in Jaipuria college under Calcutta university and also got confirmed in goenka college of commerce and business administration. But, because of personal issues, I had to enroll here. If you are someone who wants to prepare for banking, or any other competitive exams, then this college is for you. You'll get a lot of free time. But, if you want good academics, better college life, and better exposure then you'll probably get depressed in this hell hole. Admission criteria is pretty simple. You just have to put your 12th marks and you'll get admitted on that basis. No need to think about cut-off. Everyone gets admission here by the end of the merit lists. ???????

Faculty

0.5

1- Faculties are not at all supportive. You'll see teachers who are not even interested in listening to student queries. Classes also don't happen regularly but some teachers, you'll find trying their best to change the whole scenario. Like my accountancy teacher is a really good and approachable teacher. 2- I did not meet a lot of faculties, but I liked Abhishek Gupta Sir who is the accountancy professor. 3- I didn't meet a lot of faculties because most of them weren't even present. 4- Course curriculum is relevant, but you'll have to study on your own or hire a tutor. Exams are pretty straightforward but even if you write the best answers, they won't give you high marks. There are mid sem exams too.

I always want to become an accountant so i choose accountancy. So I choose this college for this course because 80% of students achieve the best score in his course. The teacher is this college are so talented and very laborious and provide better knowledge in your course. This course examination is held on three parts if you have better knowledge in your house or you do hard preparation you don't face any difficulty in your examination.
