Purnea College, Purnia, established in 1948, is the oldest institution of higher education in this region. Situated on the periphery, adjoining West Bengal in the east and Nepal in the north, the institution is a commemoration of the efforts of the freedom fighters of this area.

Addmission to this course requires a minimum qualification of passing 12th grade with a science background. The Application form and other details like (fees, and course details) can be accessed through the official website of the college. The addmission process proceeded smoothly, involving one entrance exam and interview round. The entrance exam questions were of moderate difficulty level and were related to 12th grade.

You have to obtain 60 percent marks to admission in this college. Application is truly online. I want admission to be held online and offline both. Some Students didn't know how to apply online for admission.

Its very good.College management supports every kind of necessity of the student, and used to talk with students on regular time period.

College is quite good and the education provided in this college is also good. This is a government college therefore the facilities provided are a bit less than comparing with the private college all around. But apart from this the fees is very lovely friendly for every student.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The college provides bachelor's degree in arts, Science, commerce and humanities. The course of B.sc in the college is really good especially because of good teaching and well designed labs. There are internals and semester examination.
Admission:
Classes not happen regularly in commerce and science stream. Baathrooms are not cleaned regularly. No filter available for drinking water. Infrastructure could be develope.positive thing is that teachers are talented
Placement Experience:
Anyhow the placement of the college is not very good and very bad it is in between.
