Teachers do have ego and attitude issue here but are kind and supportive too if you build up a good relationship and reputation. If you have good relations, your every single problem or work will getting done or solved easily. Apart from that here’s little bit problem of transportation. But overall it’s great place to join.

Merit List, Undertable admission in the name of NRI Quota

I would say go for BSc IT or BCA rather than Engineering. It’s the pure program of computer developments. It’s highly focused on software developments like web development, app development, iOS development. Engineering is focused on machine programming and with more co curricular subjects. But nowadays it’s all same.

Yes they do. Every year only few students are selected of internship but in the last year they provide internship to every single one. I’m in the first year though and haven’t complete my 2nd semester. They provide internship after every 2nd semester in the one month vacation.

Placement is 100% here in computer department but in civil mechanical engineering, they scenario is quite different. Only number of students gets job in civil and mechanical engineering. But in computer department, placement is 100% and with good package .

There are total 3 events celebrated in college. 1st is cognizance which is technical event of engineering department. Other department have their own events too. So, 1st event is intra department. 2nd is Vrund. Since it’s located in Gujarat, Vrund is event dedicated to the favourit festival of Gujarat that is Navratri. It’s a single night event of garba celebration. 3rd is Spoural. The cultural and sports event of university. Every department participates in this and it’s of 2 weeks.

If you get admitted from the merit list then congrats, all your fees comes back in the name of scholarship. If you get admitted under Management Quota, fees structure is same to the merit one which is 1.21 lakhs but they get scholarship too but not fully of your fees. If you get admitted under NRI Quota, then I’m sorry, your fees is more than double of Merit or Management Quota which is around 2.6 lakhs approx. It is changed every year because of INR to dollar exchange rate. And none of the scholarship are for you even if you top.

As I said earlier, the scholarship programs are just for Merit students and Management Quota students. They get MYSY scholarship, Patidar samaj scholarship for patel students and many more. Almost fees is covered with scholarships.

Extracurricular activities for sports have less importance but it’s improving every year. The sports activities are increasing every year but if you’re the man for technical extracurricular activity then it’s your place. It’s best college in Gujarat for technical extracurricular. Here students participate in national level formula car competition, hacathon and many more. Even they have started MUN here.

For boys, there is no university hostel but for girls there is university hostel. The food and facilities are good but they can’t get out of the campus after 6. For boys, there are number of hostel very near to campus with good food and facilities like swimming pool, wifi and all. Some of the students even used to come from hostels in Vidyanagar which is around a half hour away from campus.

The alumni network is very poor I would say. It’s been 7 months I have spent here but uptil now I have never heard of any alumni student or any alumni student program. Senior students are helpful here. Here we have very friendly relations with senior students. I myself hang out with 2nd and 3rd year students rather than my classmates.

Since it’s deamed university, there are 2 30 marks exams called internals which is under internal faculty in single semester. One practical exam in which viva is taken by external faculty of partner university and the practical exam is under internal faculty in ever semester . One external exam in which university sets the exam paper which is of 2 sections. One section is getting checked by internal faculty and other section is getting checked by external faculty.

I got admitted under table. They says we have seats of 120 students but there are at least 136 students in ever class. Those extra students got admitted under table in the name of NRI Quota admission with more than double fees of merit students.

Faculty here are highly experienced and educated. Though college is a place where you can’t be dependent on faculty. They provide us everything what we require. It’s better that we study on our own get our doubts solved by faculty. They knows everything but the curriculum makes them a bad teacher.
