Our college is situated in sarang which is near to talcher coal mines.
Our college has very huge compus and full of greenery and I will call it as mini green City.
Our college encourage to participate in different activities like sports etc.

Our college is established in 1982 that way our campus infrastructure is look old

Course Curriculum Overview

It is technical course and industrial training course that influenced me to choose this course. Our curriculum is totally industrial based curriculum which has more practical subject. I would like to suggest to improve in lab with latest trend like iot.

Class Size: 11Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Placement Experience

From third semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement. Company like jsw, India cements,tata,l&t,Jindal and other minies company visited. Jsw offer the highest package of ?3.5lpa and profile offered is junior training engineer. Above 60% students getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees o paid year-wise ?7000 and Tution fees is ?7000 registration fees is ?450. Yes my batchmates are sc&st there tution fees is ?3500 per year. We get scholarship from government of odisha from department of skill development of ?10000 per year.

Campus Life

Our college host many cultural events but the best is annual tech fest is very amazing called horizon and held between January to March. Igit Central library offers wide range of books and journals like IEEE. Within the classroom facilities and technological provisions are smart board,wifi.

Hostel Facilities

The facility provided in igit sarang hostels is good because the amount they are changing is very minimal ?42000/Y. Meal quality is good and menu has variety. Registration process for hostel is at the time of admission you have to fill the hostel form. And igit hostels are Affordable

Admission

I have applied to ugi college rourkela and igit sarang and I get selected in igit. I have applied to UGI college rourkela and I get rejected because it asking above 80%. The eligibility to take admission in college is after iti is minimum above 7 cgpa

Faculty

In diploma our faculty to student ratio is very good and relationship between teachers and students is very friendly. Our most of the faculty are very good. We give to internal exam , practical exam and end semester exam and the difficult level of end semester is quite tough.

The view about the college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester and 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. The name of company are JSW , IMFA , ADITYA BIRLA , JSL etc company are visited. The highest package is 25,000 thousand and avarage package is 12,000 thousand per company. My plans after getting the degree is preparing the junior mining inspector.

I love my college

Placement Experience:

does not have proper playground for outdoor games ,except this it has all the necessary facilities. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries ans sports arena are all air conditioned and well maintained. The quality of placements at our college is not so good. The percentage of students placed every year is quite less. The salary package offered to bcom graduates were not so good. In recent time due covid 19 we were unable to attend the placement cell.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. So i applied for VSSUT,Burla and OUTR,Bhubaneswar and many more colleges. But i got this college (Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology , Dhenkanal) as according to my JEE main rank. Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
