Course Curriculum Overview

4

The syllabus is quite relevant to the real-world and is also well structured. We are taught not only the theoritical part but also are made to practice the applications as in the real-world. I feel the current teaching system is good and complete and only the updates according to the time is required, which is not an issue here. The First Class Test is held about 2 months from the starting of the semester, the Second Class Test is held from about 1 month from the first CT, and the End-Sem after 1-1.5 months from the Second CT. Timing - 1 hour(Class-Test), 3 hours(End-Sem)

Internships Opportunities

4

The Internship Opportunities are increasing year by year and this year companies like Amazon, DE Shaw visted the college for interships offering a handsome amount of 1-1.2 laks per month. Many other companies (IT Sector, SDE, AI/ML, core) also offer internship of about 30-40K a month.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible for college placements from 7th Semester onwards. Companies Visited - Amazon, Atlassian, TCS, Paytm, Titan, Adobe, Byjus, Honda, Wipro abd amny more. Average Package can vary from 500000-3000000 per annum (depending upon the company and the post offered). The Placement Percentage is high and close to 80% including all the branches. I plan to opt for the college placements after the degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Fees for all the Category is same for a single branch (CSE-Regular) Tuition Fees - 70000 Rs Examination Fees - 7500 Rs User Charges - 5275 Rs Student Activity And Training Placement Fees - 2000 Other Fees - 0 Rs Total - 84775 Rs UP Merit Scholarship - 54000-60000 (for General, OBC) UP Merit Scholarship - 90000-113000(for SC and ST) The fees is not increasing much on an yearly basis.

Campus Life

4

There is a fest for each branch of the college - Tantransh - CS Department (held around March) MechFest - Mechanical Department (held around January) CVista - Civil Department (November) Ankuran - Electronics Department (June) VidYouth - Electrical Department (September) Alchemy - Chemical (around August) There is a wide range of sports events held in the college including - cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, chess, kabaddi, athletics, etc. There is a social club of the college called 'Parmarth' , in which students teach under-privileged students starting from the basics and all the way upto competetive exams.

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms are quite habitable with proper ventilation and lighting. There is also free WiFi facility available in all the hostels (including Girl's Hostel as well) The food in the mess is optimal with less oil and includes hygiene. The hostel charges are - Hostel - 14500 Rs (per Year) Mess - 19000 Rs (per Semester) which is quite affordable. Registration process for hostel allotment is quite simple and easily executed.

Admission

I did not applied for any other college as such. My reasons for choosing this college over any other college(s) include - --Government College --Number 1 college in UP (under AKTU) --Coding Culture --Placements --Internship Opportunities The College accepts admission through JEE Mains Score (avg percentile is 85-95 for CSE General). The overall admission process is not that hectic or long and it is quite straight-forward and simple.

Faculty

4.5

There are approximately 25-30 teachers in a single department (per 250 students includin all 4 years) The faculty here are quite cooperable and also supportive, you can always ask questions and clear your doubts and can even share any problems regarding studies or the college itself. If I have to name the teachers which I personally like or admire then, I would name mainly the teachers of my department (CSE), Girish Sir (HOD), Manik Sir, Deepanshu Sir, Diksha Ma'am, Aditi Ma'am and many more. There are 2 Class-Tests (20 marks each), of which the average score is considered. There is one main Exam, EndSem of 70 marks. 10 marks is of Internal (Attendance + Assignment) Total - 100 The exams are not that tough and if you even attend all the classes and make notes you can score very well easily. The number of students failing is negligible.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is of top quality. Facilities like classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, etc, available in our college are good. Facilities are easily available to students. The library is too good for anyone to sit and study for long hours. Teachers in our college are very helpful, and they are always available to help us. They plan the schedule in a very effective way. Many teachers are PhD holders. They have good knowledge of their subjects, both practical and theoretical. The course curriculum is relevant, and it mainly focuses on what industry demands.
