A freshies pov of university

I chose the course as i wished to do sonething that involved maths and also i was interested in coding. The curriculum helps in learning various languages as well there are special subjects like communication skills and universal human skills that prepare you for the real world. The teaching feels very schoolish and it feels like there is not much to make our minds grow in a creative way. There are 5 sub mst at once The schedule of 5 mst are divided among 5 days. Schedule may vary but you will have max 2 mst in a day. An mst is 1 hour long and 20 marks

As this is my first semester i am not quite sure about placement culture in our university. Amazon, Flipkart, Deloitte, IBM, Earnest Young, Bank of America, Microsoft etc. were among the top recruiters at CU Campus Placements according to C.U official website. The highest salary package was secured by CSE-IBM Information Security student Siddhant Bhardwaj, who grabbed a huge salary package of $222600 (Rs 1.7 Crore) with a US-based company according to cuims website. Average package is 8 lpa according to shiksha.com 80-90% students placed according to shiksha.com I plan to go for higher studies abroad after my degree

I will be paying 95340 per semester I have a scholarship of 30% that means i pay 40860 less per semester The fees my batch mates pay without any scholarship is 136200 The amount of financial aid provided by university can be upto 100% if a student scores more than 90 out of 100 in cucet

C.U fest occurs ever year but as afresher im not sure about when it happens The library has 138130 printed books, 244815 e-books and many other reading materials There are sports clubs as well as different teams for different sports. There is a seperate sports complex in C.U There are built in projectors in almost all classes,multiple labs, ac facilities as well major clubs i know that is run by students are CAC, kala connect and rotract club

I was a jee aspirant and chandigarh university was my last plan but during my preparation i was unbale to handle the load of work and was unable to keep up leading to a disappointing result i further continued down this road leading to failure of admission in all tier 1 or 2 colleges Some colleges other than govt ones i was considering were DTU, BITS, Thapar university, IIIT Hyderabad I also considered chitkara but heard a few negative comments. The admission process to my college included giving cucet for at least minimum eligibility to join and then payment via cucet portal or cuims portal and sending of documents for verification.

Not very sure about faculty to student ratio I liked the maths teacher miss neha and also the physics teacher miss nandini and itps teacher too pawandeep ma'am all of them are slightly strict vut i prefer teachers who know how to control the class. No such faculty that i did not like In one semester there is mst 1 then mst 2 and at the end est.....ive only given mst 1 yet so i know its not too difficult.
