Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course which I have chosen is Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering branch. Right now, I am in my second year. This is the best course for one to take according to me. There are so many other options open for us to take in order to pave a career ahead. It makes us learn hardwork primarily, as well as boosts our own confidence level. We can go in the firld of technology, entertainment, sports and what not. It makes us learn discipline. The teaching methods shall be enhanced as we move towards modernization. We should be more focused on our practical requirements rather than just passing the exams. The passing system and attendance issues make us invest more time in not much useful things for our future. The frequency of exams is moderate for minors and tough for the major exam. The core branches, like mine, face a lot of challenges in scoring high.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internships are provided by various companies. But here, it is not that good. Robust placement support and industry collaborations offer practical training and job opportunities. The training and placement cell is responsible to provide to the students of the University for placement and internships. All the first-year students have to go through the social internship programme from any existing and authorized organisation. Under the Campus Ambassador part time internship programme, techsrijan members strategize campaigns. They manage social media and publicity through Instagram and Facebook to represent Techsrijan for its popularity. It makes students learn to communicate with a professional gesture and unlimited access to online courses and platforms.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement level of the college is good. It offers placement in almost all the courses. It varies as per the situation. The students become eligible in the third and final year for campus placements, depending upon the intellectual level of the student. The highest package of MMMUT was 52 LPA. The total number of job offers made in 2023 placements was 973. The average package is 6.8 LPA. The renowned companies like Accenture, TCS Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, L&T, Infosys, TCS Ninja, Canon India, Aditya Birla Group, Juspay, Global Logic, NIIT, etc. About 50-60% students in the college get placed every year. My plan is to attain a job in government sector.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The year wise academic fees is in a slightly increasing order, which was initially 91300. It has increased upto 102200 in the consecutive year. The academic fees was Rs. 91300. The other charges included hostel facilities for Rs. 24000. The mess fee upgraded from 15000 to 18000. The bus fees is excluded for the hostelers. The day scholars have less amount to pay than us as they do not possess hostel facilities. There is an arrangement for the scholarship for all the financially unstable students attending the the university. The amount of scholarship is upto 1 lakh for the purpose of admission requirement aids for such students. The registration fees is also taken from us at the beginning of every semester, which is Rs. 100.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest of the college is Abhyuday, which is held in March, every year. It includes all the cultural, literary and fine arts category for all the students from different colleges as well. The other technical festivals are Robokriti, Electra, Drishyaa, Codechef, Techsrijan, etc. The range and accessibility of books and journals in the library is massive. One can easily go and find the books there. It was so much useful for students to find all the essentials. The facilities inside the classroom is a white board, a black board and a smart board along with a projector. There are AC for the freshers now onwards. The college has a moderate level for sports activities. They are not regular but they are competitive. There are numerous clubs in our college. The field which I was interested is, was The Editorial Board. I went through its induction program and got selected as an executive member for the same.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility in the first year was very much good and appreciable. We were three people in a spacious room. There were four washrooms at each floor, alongwith filtered drinking water. We were only provided with separate beds and cupboards. Hygiene was totally maintained there. The menu of the mess food was appropriate. It was served with proper care and hygiene. But in the second year, our hostel got changed. It is literally so poor. In a tiny room, we are three people. Although the mess food is really good here. The washrooms here are not so clean and they need to be repaired. The walls of the rooms need to get painted. Proper renovation is required for all the old hostels.

Admission

I am a fresher, not a dropper. I made it till here and some other colleges too. VIT Vellore and BIT Patna were the confirm colleges I was getting. Although I dropped the idea of getting into them. This was because they were first of all, private colleges. Their fee structure was quite high as compared from here. Also, there is a value of a government college in our country. Yes. I got rejected from all the colleges chosen as the priorities in the JoSAA counselling 2023. The only reason was my JEE Mains rank. It was 109899 in the general category, which made it quite difficult to avail the choices filled by me. Maybe, a drop could refill the lack of my dedication. But, I already worked hard for coming here too, so no worries.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is adequate. In a classroom of 80 students, a professor comes to take the lecture. It depends on the nature of that particular faculty member if he or she is co-operative or not. In the first and second semsters, almost all the faculties were very helpful and approachable. Out of them, my favourite was Shagun Pal Ma'am. She used to make us aware for the exams during our confused state. Now, my current faculties are abit strict in terms of attendance and everything. They do not like to entertain anyone. There are two minor exams and the major exam in the whole semester. Minors are of 10-15 marks each while the major is for total 50 out of 100. The passing criteria is 40/100, whereas it is 15 for the major exam only. The question papers are moderately tough. A lot of students appear for the back paper. But, it was for our own betterment purpose.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

The main reason is that it was a private college and was also far away from my home. My current university is a government university has a better alumni network with better knowledge.

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field
