Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed BTech in VSSUT as this college has a number of clubs from which we can gain different skills except learning. our college used to organise many alumni talks from which we get prepared for our placements and solve real life problems.

We are advised to take internship from 2nd yr starting and our college is more focused on offline internship in different companies and minimum of 60 days internship is compulsory for all to take placement.our college uesd to give refer and we apply for internship in different companies or institutions.

Placement Experience

The campus placement of iur college is very good .The average package of our college is about 700000 and 85% students gets placed .The core branches placement are much better than non core branches.The highest package of our college is about 45 lakhs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

My college name is VSSUT,burla this is a government engg college and the fee structure for BTech course is 70000 per year approx including hostel mess fees. Hostel fees is about 30000 per year and the rest 40000 are tuition fees.

Campus Life

Without any doubt i can say that the campus is very beautiful as it is surrounded by mahanadi river from both sides.The infrastructure of this college is also very good and advanced instruments are also provided to us in laboratory.There are many cultural, technical and sports club in our college

Admission

This college is the Oldest engineering college of odisha since 1956.The alumini network of this college is very strong and the campus placement drive is very good. About 85 % students gets placed.The facilities of this college is also very good .

Faculty

This college has a large number of faculty members.The relationship between faculty and students is good means fair as in some situations the faculty are not cooperative with students.Each year has two semester exams of 50 marks and internals of 30 marks

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

Vssut, burla is a renowned government college. I have been always dream of studying in a good government engineering college. The faculties are very good and supportive in every aspect. The college is also well renowned. The good aspects are the administration is very good and the only bad aspect is the hostel food is not good... Except for this everything is good.
