VSSUT within words

The syllabus is same and old fashioned and its common in all engineering colleges (Govt) . Faculties give proper time but you have to be attentive and before exam you shoul prepare well for the semesters. For placements you have to improve your skills through online courses or youtube or any source but not just for certification.

There are two types of courses Regular = 41,040 SSC Course = 85,140 in first year (including both semester) Hostel fees for first year is 48000 From 2nd year onwards Fees for Odd Sem = 17750 or 41750 For even Sem = 11900 or 32500

Samavesh and Vassaunt are the Tech and Cultural Fests of the esteemed institute . There is a whole set of books available in the Central Library along with computers but many were not functioning. Sports facility is good as there are many hostels and they even participate in inter hostels or inter college matches. There is gym as well as Swimming pool but they are not well maintained

In 1st year you will be provided a separate hostel . There are 7 hostel for boys and 6 hostels for girls. Mess food is descent ( not so good not so bad ). You will be provided with cupboard a chair a bed and a table in the room along witb 3 or 4 room mates depending upon the size of room . You can apply for hostel during the time of admission.

Basically in Odisha Its the best college after IIT Bhubaneswar and NIT Rourkela . The core branches of VSSUT Burla is very well descent enough while in CSE OUTR BBSR stands a liitle better due to the location being at the capital city. VSSUT reputation has been its significance being the oldest enginnering college of Odisha. You can take admission through your rank in JEE MAINS or OJEE . Not getting CSE at NIT Rkl , I Opted for CSE at VSSUT Burla considering CSE is the branch in demand .

Faculty Student ratio is good enough . You can have sufficient lecturers and time to help you with your doubts. There will be basically 2 mid sems before the end sems and difficulty level is same as that of NITs. Syllabus is basically same as of NITs . It"s bit easier to score more marks in lower branches and students even score a cgpa of 9 or 10 in those brances
