What Students Say

Likes

College is very progressive. It provides opportunities to every student plus it's a very friendly. It provides huge exposure to students so they don't feel overwhelmed in real world. Placement wise it's good also most of the students gets placements.
The ratio of girls to boys is almost close to 3:1 .
In college there are lots of food points and fun activities happening almost everyday.

Dislikes

Teachers don't pay attention to every student.
College management is not that much helpfull for students.
College can be expensive for middle class people.

Course Curriculum Overview

Due to lack of management in recent year course curriculum is off the mark. There is no symmetry no schedule just random for each semester which can be very hard for students to understand and there are exams almost every week.

Internships Opportunities

Lots of companies have to our college Google Microsoft razorpay morgan Stanley. There is special team of teacher assigned for students to help them for there placements. Roles varies for technical jobs to non technical jobs.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students are eligible for placements at starting of 6th sem companies are started for intership opportunities and full time job also. At the end of 7th sem most of the students are placed .

Fees and Financial Aid

It was 82000 per semester at my time now it's been increased to 120000 for each sem. Every year fee increase for new students. There are some charges for uniform and other things which are different for every year. Mostly there is no additional charges for courses which college provide.

Campus Life

Lots of different clubs for modeling,singing dancing panting study and hackathon etxectra. Students join these club very often which gives them exposure resulting boosting there moral and raise there confidence .

Hostel Facilities

Hostels charges are different for your need. You can choose of you want to live alone or share with 2 or 4 persons weather you want ac or not and whether you attach washroom or common washrooms. Hostels are clean regularly.

Admission

I wanted to go to thappar university but due to its fee being overbudget I had to choose chitkara if I had the money I would have definitely choosen thapar because the scope of placement for thapar is far greater than chitkara.

Faculty

Faculty are alright, there is a 75% compulsory attendance for each sem otherwise students are not allowed to enter exam hall. Students can approach faculties easily. Relationship between students and teachers are very friendly.

Every year companies like Amazon, Microsoft ,Infosys ,Wipro ,TCS ,Capgemini, Bosch and Accenture visit the campus . Core and IT sector companies offer positions such as software engineer , data analyst, cloud engineer and business analyst. Placement Eligibility Students at LpU become eligile for campus placement from the 6th sem(3rd year) Befor that the university provides training session in aptitude , communication and tech skills so that by the time placemtn drive start students are fully prepared . Companies Visiting the campus : alpheus has a very strong placement network every year more than 900 plus companies visit the campus for recruitment some of the top recruitment includes Amazon Microsoft cognizant captain and ITCS Infosys Wipro IBM Tech Mahindra Accenture etc. Apart from these several startups and product based companies also offer intensive and pre replacement offers to students who perform well. Number of offers and Packages. In the latest Placement drive Total offers made: 9000+ across all branchesh Highesh package:-54LPA profiles offered include Software Deveeloper, data Analysr ,AI Enginner, Cloud Enginner and system Analyst roles. Placement Experience:

As my college is an nit it's a premiere instrtite of india . It provides good placement and internship opportunities. Placement of nit j in ice branch is very good for past few years .. my branch has an avg pakage of about 11-12 lpa in 2024 and 9.5 lpa median pakage. It has placement in both core and it field around 70% tech companies allow ice to sit for placement with computer domain students. The students are eligible for placement from 5th or 6th sem onwards .. and the placement percentage of nit j is about 90-95%. In ice branch .... Highest recorded was about 52 lpa . I myself believe that I would get some placement but if I couldn't get by college I must have developed some skills that will help me for off campus placements and if I won't get I would prefer higher studeis. And I aspire to see my parents happy after placement

the placements are decent, not bad. A cse graduate with a good knowledge of dsa can earn 12-15 lpa .with more hardwork u can earn even more.this year the max placement was around 41 lpa. but for core branches it is much less. if u are very good in your core then maybe u can get a good placement.

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
