Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum prepares us for solving the real world problems. It helps to deal with many problems of the industry and gives us the knowledge we require for facing the outer world. There are also many non- engineering subjects taught which are very valid in the outer world, like economics, ethics, fanacial management and many more. The frequency of the exam is every 3 months and the difficulty level is moderate to high depending upon the course and subject offered.

Placement Experience

4

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the placement. Many companies visit the college during the time of placement and make many offers, approximately 60 offers were made last year with a placement percentage of 80%. The highest package was 14lpa and the average package is 7lpa. More than 80% students get places in the department every year. My plan is to get a job and contribute to the industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is paid every semester, but during the time of admission the fees is paid in whole for the whole 1st year. Total fees includes the tution fees, hostel fees and other fees, which is about 74k- 76k depending upon the year in which the student is studying. There are also many other fees category in the which the student avail the benefits. For the TFW students, the fees is around 48k- 50k per year. And for the other categories the fees is quiet low. There are various scholarships available in the college. The state government and various other companies provide scholarship to the meritorious students. The fees structure is quiet simple and is very good in terms of ROI.

Campus Life

4

The college organises various annual techno cultural events throughout the year. SAMAVESH is the annual tech fest and VASSAUNT is the annual cultural fest which occurs in the month of December and March respectively. The annual sports fest also helps in the month of January known as ILLUMINA. Various range of books and journals are available in the library. The college also have a e-learning facility which helps the students in learning the tech world. Various sports clubs are there available in the campus. A full fleges swimming pool is available for the students. Badminton courts, gym rooms, football ground, cricket net practice, cricket turfs and more are available in the college. The students run various technical and cultural societies which helps in the overall development of the students. The various includes the Robotics society, Coding society, SAE societies, Aeronautical society, Rocket society and many more The college have a full fleged student rocket team VSSIC.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms consists of basic facilities such as table, fan, bed, chair and light. It depends upon the hostel as the number of students will be allocated. Each student will receive the above basic facilities of their own. Meal quality of the food is neither berg good nor very bad. Registration process is very simple as it is available in the college website. There are also many local PG available near the college.

Admission

I also applied to various other colleges in the Delhi NCR region, but didn't travelled there due to various factors like summer heat, far from home and many more factors. I choosed this college due to various factors such as nearer to home, easy travelling, good placement, near to nature, and best part is here I can develop my personality. I didn't got any rejection from any other university or college. The admission process is through OJEE councelling. For sitting in OJEE councelling you have to first give JEE main and get a good rank. At 70 percentile you can get admission in this university.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members of the university are very well trained and they have a great deal of knowledge in their respective fields. The faculty members are very supportive and they encourage the students to explore knowledge in various fields. The faculty to students ratio is also quiet good. Maximum number of faculties have completed their PhD degrees from various IITs and other countries. The exam pattern of the university is very simple. There are 2 exams conducted in every semester. One is mid semester exam and other one is end semester exam. The mid semester exam is of 30 marks, the end semester exam is of 50 marks and teacher holds about 20 marks. The teacher can give the 20 marks on the basis of various factors such as assignments, attendance and many more. The course curriculum is very relevant and is upto the mark. It matches the industry requirements.

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
