Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Biotechnology and biophysics are the best courses, I feel. Biophysics was something unique I heard and when I heard about it for the first time and did a research on it, it hit on my heart and I chose to walk on the path of it . Teaching methods are all good . Literary, sports and science clubs should be there in the departments. The exams are held in December and may . Mid semesters are held in October and March or April. The level is easy for those who study but noone fails tbh. Teachers marking system is surely real and unbiased.

Internships Opportunities

4

You can do the internships both on and off campus. On campus internships are fun. They are held during summer vacations. You can stay here and work I haven't recently did any of the intership but soon be doing it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Panjab University, Chandigarh is among top 4 percent of the universities in the world for research. Panjab University conducts its own entrance exam and the students gets admission on the basis of their score. Panjab University is famous for pharmacy, law and basic medical sciences. It covers 550 acres of the area. The labs of university institute of basic medical sciences are amazing and well equipped. The faculty is really nice. Hostels are well furnished and are opened 24*7 for both girls and boys, it gives you all the freedom but the guards are always there. AC joshi Library is the biggest library in the North India. The environment is really soothing for students. Fests are blast !

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is amazing. Maximum number of people here are from Panjab, Haryana and Himachal. Punjabis are fun honestly. The environment is safe. Every year PU student council elections are held and all the students elect president, vice president and general secretary. The election times are the best to be enjoyed. We have AC JOSHI Library which is the largest Library of North India. All of the books are the available. ACs are installed. And the students can comfortably be seated there and study.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are opened for 24*7 for both the girls and boys but the guards are always there to ensure no nuisance and mishappening. The hostel food is not so good but we manage. Reading room, common room (or TV room), canteen , gym and parlour is available. They give you cycles to ride. There is a specific menu that is repeated every week. The hostel fees is 12000 per year excluding food. Food plate costs 45 rupees per plate. Tuck shop is available.

Admission

I applied for Chandigarh University before I got admission in Panjab University but honestly applying for CU was one of the worst decisions ever, that place is not meant for studying, they ain't educating students, they are just running their business. Chandigarh University's campus is beautiful but definitely that's the only good point to talk about it otherwise it's the worst in credibility as compared to PU. IT STANDS NOWHERE CLOSE TO PANJAB UNIVERSITY. I gave IISER IAT but couldn't make there this time so thought of pursuing my passion "research" from Panjab University. Panjab University conducts it's own exam. For science students it's PUCET. The difficulty level of exam is from moderate to difficult. The total marks is 360 and you need to score 20% (for general category) and 15% (for sc/st/obc) of it to get qualified to attend the counselling. But the cut off for admission doesn't go less than 80 percentile. You need to have 60% in 12th to be eligible for PUCET.

Faculty

5

Faculty members are so so so hospitable. They are always ready to help. No matter how many mistakes we make, teachers never demotivate us. Even the seniors also lend helping hands to us. All of our official work is done on time !

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)

The infrastructure is good no doubt, but the credibility is worse. It's all about fests there and they are just eating money from students and providing zero placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It really depends upon the course itself. A good curriculum includes preparing students for what's out there. Faculty here teaches the core concepts along with staying up to date with the trends and new technologies, it helps to connect the theory part with practicals. Therefore our course is relevant and comprehensive.

Curriculum is prepared well. I chose medical as i was a medical student. Curriculum is prepared in such a wau that it will help you out in the real world too. Improvement is required in the books as some of the books are out dated. Timing of exams are accurate we get enough time to prepare for the exam and difficulty level is moderate.
