Likes

It has very good infrastructure, everything is available within the campus itself
The diversity of students, there students from almost every state
There are many clubs, dance club , music club etc

Dislikes

The weather is very bad here, in summer it crosses 35 degree and in winter it reaches - degree
In cse course the boys to girls ratio is very much
The area outside of lpu is very bad it even has been labelled red light area

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it had all three like airlines , tourism and hospitality, in airlines i can work in private sector and in hositality we can work both in private and public sector n tourism is very good for government jobs it offers a diverse range of job options. Exams are not that difficult but they are not that easy either if you listen to classes attentively and has a good vocabulary then you can easily pass the exams

Placement Experience

Placements are good in our course but over all in other courses also placements are very good i recently got placed in indigo in campir placement and many of my other friends also have been placed in some good 5 star hotels and companies some company have no backlogs requirement then again it depends on the requirements of the company

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is 160000 without scholarship, it is 100000 with 48% of scholarship. There are many types of scholarships like 48%,38%and 28% scholarship depends on your 12th marks or Lpunest results, other than that they tale a fee of 8k per year as exam fee, they also provide sports scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus life is the best in lpu but then again it depends on the type of group you make the type of friends you make in the campus. I am a part of dance club in dso(division of student organisation) its where all the clubs are n it has been a very wonderful experience i participated in one india and it was awesome

Hostel Facilities

I have taken hostel in first year but the hostel fee has been increasing ever year by 10k and it is very expensive and not worth it but the mess is good so that was one of the reasons why i took hostel

Admission

I did not apply to any other colleges i directly applied to LPU wrote the lpunest exam and got in. I chose this college because of this course only it is a very diverse course which was not available in other colleges it was one of the main reasons why i chose this course

Faculty

The faculties are very good and helpful but they keep changing very frequently everyone gets a personal mentor but it is only in 1 year of clg after that they dont care. Faculties are very approachable and friendly

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I like my couse btech with computer science because it has high change to geeting high paying jobs and to build a successful career with my opinion they can improve their faculty with higher education qualification

Likes

I appreciate the well maintained campus and infrastructure the cleaniness in the collage is good
My engagement with collage is good I join various types of activity in the collage

Dislikes

There is no ac in the class and the class windows are not that good
But there is one problem which is that there is no many options for girls in games like sports

Currently my course at cgc landran does not have any types of placement in my course but however the collage focuses on enhancing development of students employability by providing interships , skills development and workshops to enhance there knowledge

Life at CGC Landran

Gym is provided but only for name, no fame , always full

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Cmc - a feeling in itself

Likes

Academics are very good along with proper clinical teaching lectures and simulation based teaching. Patient load is good. All the clinicals skills required at mbbs level are taught properly.
There are various extra-curricular activities which take place in college. Many cultural events are organized by college and student bodies every month which gives an holistic development experience
Sports facilities are also there which are very good.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and needs repair
Many faculty members are leaving leading to less good professors in the college
Patient load is decreasing day by day resulting in less clinical exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed in our college is CBME based curriculum. Our college was one such college which conrributed tremendously in developing this type of curriculum. It trains you in all clinical skills and provide you with the best doctor skills. Also many soft skills training session our held which helps in developing and training ourselves as good doctor. All the skills are taught on models and patients.clinical training is very good. However , patient load is decreasing which restricts oursleves in seeing variety of patients

Faculty : The faculty of Gian sagar as per experienced in 1st year of Mbbs is very caring and very talented. They take as many tests they can and make the student learn.
Learning facility : The teachers make digital slides.
Personal skill development : Every student is personally approached.

Dislikes

Too much syllabus : The mbbs course has a lot of syllabus to cover

The MBBS course is a very vast course . Syllabus is too much to handle . The curriculum prepares us for the practical approach like Anatomy , we have Dhall for cadaver dissection and osteology . We can see real life radiography.

The college is of good reputation and is a police academy under the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The college provides many police administration long term and short term courses and two professional courses namely, M.A and M.Phil. Overall, the college is good choice for anyone interested in the course.
