College has a very big library and has so many books
There are canteens and snacks centers available
Teaching is good because of most faculties are PHD

Dislikes

Expensive for a small city like islampur
Campus is not that big and roads in campus are poor

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is interactive and has extracurricular activities like clubs and workshops. But gaps between two exams is small since there are two UT and a ESE at the end of sem. Also there are not many holidays compared to other colleges

KPIT, cognizent, atlas copco ,accenture, TCS, bharat forge, vipro pari these are some of the companies that visit yearly to college campus and recruit students there are few companies that come for specific department students.

Placement are provided many companies visit also college gives internship opportunities to students. Placements are offered from third year onwards. And visited companies take aptitude test so college beforehand has scholastic aptitude subject

Fees and Financial Aid

Management fees 147000, for EBC scholarships 87000, for TFWS 28000, for SC/ST/NT 7000, in second year EBC fees are 83000, and SC/ST/NT fees are 4000, management fees remain same for all years. TFWS fees are 27000.

Campus Life

There are many events in college such as Virangula which is basically a gathering. Then there are department events where each department conducts various games and small events. Also there is freshers for new comers

Admission

I was planning to apply for Pune colleges but this college was more close to my home like 30km so it was easy to go without staying at hostel and also heard good reviews about this college so I decided to take admission in this college

Faculty

Faculties are pretty good. When it comes to exam it is difficult since there are two examiners in one class. Sometimes questions banks are provided sometimes not but its not always questions from question banks

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.
