Likes

I really liked the teachers in our department.
The syllabus was quite good compared to other universities.

Dislikes

There was no proper seating arrangement for our class due to which we had to suffer a lot.
There was no drinking or washroom facilities for the students in our building.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always loved literature and when I looked at the syllabus I quite liked it and opted for the course. There's a subject related to women literature where we get to know the struggle of the women throughout the centuries and prepares us for the world full of patriarchy.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 10500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee I paid yearly was around 12k including the exam fee. The fee is still same for newer students. There are also some scholarships available bsed on how well you perform each semester. I got 10% scholarship in my first year.

Campus Life

In DCRUST there is little to no social life of students as no annual fests took place while I was studying there and the teachers didn't encourage students to take part in any programs or activities. The faculty was not at all supportive if students wanted to organise something.

Admission

I didn't actually apply in any other university as deenabandhu Choturam university is near my home and it is much easy for me to commute. I got into DCRUST by giving an entrance exam and then attending the physical councelling.

Faculty

The English department have low faculty so most of the times our research scholars taught us. They are quite friendly and encourage you to do your best in everything. Each semester 2 minor tests take place and 1 semester exam.

JGU is delightful place!!

Placement Experience:

EY, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and all other companies which defies international economics are the ones which recruits students of JGU. Theh even conduct seminars and workshops and tells us the things which we need to add in our arsenal to be fit and ready for placements. Jindal Students of Economics easily score placements worth 5-7 lakhs and nearly all the students who wish for placements gets it too.

OPJGU: Not my first choice, but definitely the right one

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent average package is in the range of 3-5 LPA . Several companies come in campus for placement opportunities including big names like CVENT, TCS , Wipro etc . The placement are not so great but they provide a decent starting packages to fresher.

Good experience but can be better

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
