Course Curriculum Overview
The course and books followed here are really relevant if you want to appear for competitive exams. Books from the authors like Rajeev Bhargava, OP Gauba, M. Laxmikant are followed here. I chose this course solely on the syllabus. Just the con is that few of the teachers don't know how to teach.
Internships Opportunities
Besides focusing on academic rigor, students are engaged in interactive sessions with corporates, industrial visits, workshops on in-demand skills, research paper presentations and are encouraged to participate in management competitions. Regular interactions with alumni are arranged to acquaint the students with situations their seniors faced in the past. Companies mainly Amul, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Cognizant, Dalmia Bharat Limited, Dell, Federal Bank, Genpact, HDFC Bank, IBM, IDBI Bank, Jio, Kotak Life, Marriott, Nestlè, Radisson Blu, Star Cement, Sun Pharma, Amazon, Flipkart, Parle etc are the top recruiters. Roles like manager, seller support associate, site engineer, assurance associate, business development associate, etc are some of the roles archived by students here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
This is for BA (H) Pol Sc. Fees is different for other courses. On the time of admission, we have to pay ?1,23,000 which includes admission fee and semester fee. Semester wise payment is ?43,000. If you had achieved 80+% in your 12th, you will get a scholarship. There's a 5% relaxation for SC, ST. Overall the fees is quite less compared to other private colleges. There's also scholarships for economically weaker section of the society.
Campus Life
The cultural fests is one of the best fest here. In Consensio, popular singers are invited to perform. Cricketer Riyan Parag is the ambassador of the University. Other than cultural fests, other fun activities keeps on happening. The library is huge and you will get number of books and journals available there. You can always participate in MUNS, Sports, etc in other states as well if you are representing the university. Everyone here encourages us to actively participate in all kinds of events. There are many clubs as well. All the classrooms have 2 ACs, one projector and fans as well. So you will always be comfy in the classrooms. There's even a room for your entrepreneurial mind. You can get help for startups and other related stuff.
Admission
I had applied to Delhi University. I even got selected for one of the colleges in off campus though my cuet marks. I did not choose that college due to some personal reasons. I chose this college because it is one of the best private universities in northeast and I liked the syllabus of political science. It is very similar to that of Delhi University. The admission process in RGU is quite smooth. You can register and fill the form online and pay the fees in cash(that's what I did). They will help you out through our the admission process if you need any.
Faculty
The faculty is quite friendly. You can always get your doubts cleared. There are 2 exams in one semester namely mid-term exams and semester end exams. They will also give you assignments, presentation. Vivas are held as well. RGU follows syllabus approved by the UGC.
