Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have economics honours so I choose maths and stats with it as it's of great relevance in current time considering the economy and tech field . Well the curriculum is very similar to that of IIT JAM , GATE , ISI etc so helpful in that way . We also have practicals. The syllabus is sometimes way too much Need to reduced and divided properly. The number of classes must increase. I believe we have less classes and more exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first sem the tuition fee was 2500 approx then for second sem 1600 approx. The hostel fee we paid 5375 for six months. It will decrease for the next term . There are no other few . We get free wifi and bus service. I am from general category and few structure remains the same for all categories.

Campus Life

3.5

There are dance , music , poetry , debate club . Economics society, photographs society and many more . So they all have their own annual events . As far as the college is concerned every other day there is some sort of seminar going on here . Different cultural events. Recently janamashtami was celebrated in the whole uni. For sports the students have to hustle Keep an eye on the notice board and see when the selection and events are to be held There are all the facilities but just need to be aware of it . We have one of the biggest library. Everything is available but be quick cause it's a task to find that one book you need although you can trace the book in computer provided but it's still a task. The classrooms are classic. Some have projectors too But who needs it when a prof teaches with chalk on the board it's the best. Ample of extra curricular activities just be active. It's hectic sometimes Annual sports fest is also there . Interfac

Hostel Facilities

4.5

BHU GIRLS HOSTEL 2 seater room with two beds , chairs and table. A fan and bulb . We can use coolers . We have a washing machine . we have three meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is for 30 rupees lunch and dinner for 50 each . So 130 per day in food . For registration the seat allotment is done based on marks and distance of your hometown from the University. After that you can submit the documents and shift in the hostel

Admission

I got DU and few other universities but I specifically wanted to pursue ba hons economics and I got it in BHU . I didn't get rejected I had a choice and I made it . For admission give cuet Fill bhu registration form If you get enough marks you get a seat allotment. Confirm it and then you will be called for verification. Cutoff varies every year but I got 282 out of 350 and got a seat in first round it self then you get upgraded in next rounds too . There are 7-8 rounds and mop up rounds so don't loose hope you can make it .

Faculty

4

We have enough facilities. We have four sections. There is a seperate section for Hindi medium. it's very easy and convenient to have a chat with faculty. We can directly go itni their chamber and have our doubts cleared. Overall I like every faculty but specifically sometimes it's economics teacher who bother me because their classes are boring and repetitive sometimes. In my course I have Economics, maths, statistics, english and a ancillary subject i.e. psychology. We have 8 exams in total 2 of each economics, mathematics and statistics. 1 of English and psychology respectively. Exam paper is moderate to hard . Not easy to say the least . The curriculum is very relevant. The number of students failing vary. Like in maths the number is bigger than that too of psychology so it's depends.

ECC uses UGC approved Course Curriculam which is same as University of Allahabad and BHU too. So the course curriculam is comprehensive but keeping in mind that Universities have not updated their syllabus for so long time it may feel a little out dated for 10% of time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. i chose this course because it offered subjects like political history and eco. which are highly relevants for government exam 2. the course builds a solid theroretical base, which is useful for acedemic research or competitive exam. 3. the course should include presentation skills, research writing, field surveys, and use of software like excel or data analysis tools. 4. modern students who attend leatures and study regularly can score well. how ever, conceptual clarity is needed to write high, quality, analytical answers.
