CEC have an expert faculty team. the teaching methods and mentorship quality are international level.
The placement services and the support provided are very helpful.
freedom and students cultural activity are very good.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not enough and it must be improved
The college have no jimm facilities,and other physical support systems.
The events are very bad and the college does not have enough events.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course computer science engineering is very relevant and this course have very opportunitys in the future.The cariculam was very interesting and it is good for an student. It covers all topics in computer science. It is very updated. The duration of semester is around 4 to 5 montgs, sometimes the duration is ok. But some semester it is not enough to cover the portions. That will be difficult for students.

Internships Opportunities

The college offer many internships, which is conducted by various authoritys. The students from first year onwards cqn attende the interships. The projects and other activities related to the interships are very useful and worth.

Placement Experience

The college of engineering cherthal offer an good placement system and support. In the Beginning of 7th semester, the student become eligible for campus placements. Till that time the student can to attende placement related classes, webinar.. Etc to upskill their skills to become an good employe. Around 60 to 60 percentage of atudents got the job and placed with agood LPA in every year. The TCS, WIPRO,IBM.. etc.. are the major company sconduct placement drive every yaear in our college

Fees and Financial Aid

The college of engineering cherthala is very helpful and useful for an engineering aspirants. The college provide scholarships for students. The tuition fees to remitted for an state merit student is about 20000 per semester. The admission fees is about 2000.the lab, arts and sports fees are around 5000.The development fees is about 2000.

Campus Life

The college conduct sports days, annual day, college day and arts day in every year. college of engineering Cherthala have an big library in campus. It has a plenty of journels technical related books are there.The availability of books are much good. And facilities in the library is also good. The books in the library is almost related to the courseand technical related topics, mainly computer science. Any students in campus has to run an club or anything which is related and helpful to studys and college life with permission from the management.

Hostel Facilities

The college provides an good hostel facilities. The major attraction is the hostel is each for each batch. So in one hostel ther is only students which is there on batch. The meals and menu are ok. The registeration process is very simple and which can complete along with the admission process. The hostel is affordable. The hostels are very near to campus and tgere is also an plenty of PG's available around the campus.

Hostel Fee: INR 63600 per year

Admission

The CEC have agood ranking in academics. When compared to other government engineering college, CEC is not bad in academics. The teaching and other academic activities are in international level. But the other events, programs and other culturel activities are very bad. The management could not approve other activities. Thats the main cons i faceing in this college.

Faculty

The faculty student relationship is very strong, they are very willing to help students, and they consider students as there own children. The university have one university exam per subject in the end of semester.And two internal exam are held in between each semester.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

I got allotment to this college after qualifying for keam exam.I was not rejected from any other college,the reason for me to choose this college is i studied in an ihrd school and I was very much satisfied with their management thats one reason and the computer science and engineering course in our college had NBA accreditation that's another reason.the addmission process is not very complex Nothing like interview or group discussion is conducted for students the qualification to join here is keam and NRIseats are also available the students who complete 12th in cbse had a cut off that's reflected in their keam rank...Read More
