Brief story of life in AKTC AMU!

The most important aspect of this course is it teaches us about our own beings which is my topmost reason why I chose this course because I had a great interest in human body and knowing stuffs about it excites me a lot The curriculum has definitely been decided for the best it provides us with theoretical as well as practical knowledge so that we can transform into good professionals which can tackle the upcoming challenges of the medical field The course curriculum is undoubtedly good but the teaching methods definitely needs improvement we should focus more on the practical knowledge rather than mugging up concepts The difficulty levels of exams is quite good but the frequency is very high which overwhelms us at times giving us no time to go into deeper meaningful discussions

As we're doctors so we work with hospital and my college is goverment college so the stipend provided to us is also given by the government which is around 35000/- per month We have to deal with patients and do the required medical practices under guidance

The fee we pay as hostellers are around 7200 rs/ yr but the day scholars pay even less i.e around 5500 rs /yr The dining fee for us hostellers are 1520 per month The admission charges and the yearly fee combined for 2022 batch was 13700rs There are many scholarships available for students in my college like they can avail the up scholarship of around 15000 or Sultan jahan scholarship (which pays there tution fee) to name fee The fee for all the quotas wether general sc or st are same And It's not increasing as of now

Even though the annual function is a thing we all wait for entire year but apart from that lot's of seminars and other lectures are periodically organised to give us a great exposure overall the annual function is typically held around February to march The library is good but it lacks the recent medicine related journals which is kinda disappointing Sports activities are one area that is almost nil in our college they do organise some sports fests but at a very preliminary state however extracurricular activities like seminars and lectures are regularly organised No students don't run any social group or any other kind of stuff at such big level which is worth mentioning

I stay in a three seater room which is okay to accommodate three people for the amenities each of us get our cupboard a desk chair and a bed Quality and taste both of our dining is excellent Registration process for hostel is done at the time of admission usually and it's extremely cheap just 1520/- per month

As we get our college through ayush councelling procedure and in that I listed three colleges Ajmal Khan tibbya college Aligarh Muslim University (my current college) being on top and as my rank was quite good so I was very sure of getting it so that's why I didn't faced any rejection kind of thing from any other college The admission process is quite easy you just have to bring your allotment letter do some formalities fill the required fee and there you are!!

The faculty to student ratio is quite good...we can easily approach them whenever in need and they clear our doubts like a good mentor However due to confidential reasons we cannot disclose their names but faculty wise the college offers top notch professors There are 5 subjects in first proff and we have our sessionals for each subject every three months Also we give two terminal tests of each subject every 6 months and 1 professional exam
