What Students Say
Likes
- Faculty is really good , all of them are PhD holders, they're friendly , supportive and really good at teaching .
- College provides lot of opportunities apart from academics, especially the events organised with associations for development of students
- Infrastructure is also good (really good than lot of government colleges) , central library is awesome and every person of college
Dislikes
- Everything offered by college is awesome the only thing I disliked is some portion of students ( the one who come to private colleges, but they don't study , they just roam around , bunking classes , you know na like goon type people)
- But it's not like they cause you trouble unnecessary, if you mind your own business there'll be no trouble to you .
- Limited gym equipments and the sports arena faculty don't provide with sufficient amount of sports equipments
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well distributed across the year , if the student do self study of 3-4 hours per day after college then there'll be no problem for the student during exams (it will be cake walk for him/her). In Mechanical engineering, there number of labs where the students have to perform the tasks given by the faculty and do practicals also which help them to gain hand on experience and they can apply for the internships which will again help them to gain industrial knowledge and experience.
Internships Opportunities
College helps students to find internship. So that they can get industrial experience. There is specific Cell also which focuses on the internships for the students . Students can also pitch there startup ideas to the college.
Placement Experience
From the last 3-4 years (after COVID) Mechanical placement in MRIIRS is 100% . Lot of reputed companies come to recruit, like , LG , TVS, Hero, Ashok Leyland, Indigo, etc. Students are eligible for the campus placement from 3rd year . Avg. Package for Mechanical engineering is 5-6lpa and highest was 10 lpa as per 2023 batch.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for 1st year of Mechanical engineering specialization in EV is approx 2,00,000 ( 2 lakhs) out of which you've to pay around 1,25,000 at time of admission and rest of the fees of 1st year, i.e., 75,000 in the second half of your 1st year . I don't know whether they increase the fees yearly but your total BTech which consists of 4 years will be of 8-9 lakhs (keeping in mind that the fees increases yearly) .
Campus Life
College provides lot of extracurricular activities, student run social groups , clubs. There is sports arena where you get , badminton court, table tennis, 8 Ball pool , mini gym area , Boxing , skating . In outdoor games you get Cricket, football, Basketball, Golf maybe Vollyball also.
Admission
I chose Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) for my BTech in Mechanical Engineering (E.V.) because Mechanical department of Manav Rachna is really good and was established a long time back so this department has good experience and tie ups with several industrial companies. I got admission in state government colleges but I didn't go for them . Because MRIIRS provides much more than the government colleges ( not just in terms of academics but more than that ) . People think Packages of private colleges is not so good , see , package depends on the abilities of the student, if you work hard , build new and have wide range skills you'll definitely end getting good package. The only reason I see why private colleges packages are not good is because the students (majority students) that come there they're not interested in studies and build skills and personallity, they just ruin the important phase of life in the name of having fun.
Faculty
All the facilities that'll teach you are PhD holders, extremely knowledgeable about the subject they are teaching you , they're friendly and supportive in nature . They're easy to approach. You'll do practicals which help you in gaining the real knowledge. Course curriculum is divided in such a way that the student will not get pressurised. Toughness of the exams depends on how much efforts the student put in studies.
