- The professors here in the IT branch are very friendly and understanding with helping nature. They always motivate us to learn the things out of curricular academics.
- Also there are many opportunities of hackathons and the technical competitions like competitive coding and logic building , etc.
- The campus of college is big enough. There are many food options outside college where you can get tasty food at good price.
Dislikes
- Food in the mess and canteen is very worse.
- Also the maintainance of the grass and trees in the college is very poor. It feels like you are in a forest.
- Also there are no cricket ground and football ground in the college. And moreover there are no fests occur here in college
Course Curriculum Overview
Here, the course curriculum is good for the future scopes. Also, the curriculum matches real-world applications. The areas where the curriculum should be improved focus more on practical than theory, which will clear the understanding far better. The frequency of exams depends totally on the semester's duration. If a semester is 6 months, the class test will be after 2 months. Mids will be after one month from class test. University exams are after the term ends. If it is 3 months, then CT will be after 1.5 months, Mids will be after the 20 days of CT, and University exams after the term ends.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies are providing internships in the college. Mainly, those are the companies that are coming for the placements. companies providing internships without stipends are 1. IBM 2. TCS 3. Infosys 4. DRC 5. Tatvasoft and many more Companies providing internships with stipends are 1. Argusoft 2. Infochips many more
Placement Experience
In my college we are eligible for placements after completion of the 6th Sem. There are no companies that visited but had no offers. Placements in the college are good enough with an average package of 4.5 LPA to 6LPA., The highest package this year is 10LPA. I plan to get the on-campus placement of package 5-6LPA minimum.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a totally state government college. We have fees structure like Rs 1600-tution fees and Rs 1000-exam fees for one semester and it is almost arround Rs 6000 per year. There is no management quotas here and admission are totally base on your acedemic ranks. Hostel fees is Rs 1250 per sem which includes only stay no food and laundry is provided and it will be around Rs 2600 per year. Note hostel allotment is also totally based on acedemic ranks. These fee structure is same for everyone. Hostel is pathetic and also mess food. College is better and also provides good placements. Also professor of my department are freindly and helpful. Now for scholarship you can apply for MYSY if you are staying in pg and private hostels and it is for everyone. If in college hostel than apply for Digital gujarat and food bill. Also you can apply for reliance scholarship.
Campus Life
The are a maximum of 1 to 2 tech fests I have attended till the 5th semester as it is conducted rarely. Yes, here, social festivals like Navratri and Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated every year. The library is very big, and you can get any books related to engineering here. The facilities in the classroom are very poor here fans are also not working properly. Projectors are of very old time. Here there are badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts but doesn't have cricket and football grounds. Also, every year, we have an inter-college sports competition known as "Vishwacup." Here, students are running different clubs they are 1. Language club 2. Photography Club 3. Robotics club 4. Rocketry team and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel in college is a government college, and what will you expect from it? We are provided a room of 3 sharing with three beds, three tables, three chairs, and three cupboards. Here, there are common toilets and bathrooms with no flush system and shower. The mess is terrible, and the food is the worst. Hostel registration is also based on your rank, and it costs Rs.2600 per year without food. PG is near to the college with a diameter of 1km.
Admission
I chose this college because it is a government college that has lower fees compared to other private colleges. Also, the placement in the college is good enough, which is around 95% - 100%. With other lower-level colleges, we are far better as the companies we are getting are better than them. Also, the education and experience of faculties are more than those faculties. Colleges above us are better than us they are private colleges with fees of 2.5 - 3.5 lakhs per year without staying.
Faculty
See, the faculties are very friendly and helpful. They motivate us to take part in the technical competitions and the hackathon and also guide us for it. Also, the teachers are teaching excellently except for some boring teachers. The exam system is like that you have three exams 1). Class test - 20 marks 2). Mid-Semester - 30 marks 3). University Exam - 70 marks Internal marks are given by summation and average of the class tests, mid-semester, attendance, and assignments. University exams are taken by GTU(Gujarat Technological University), which is the head of all government colleges in Gujarat.
