- The greenery of SRM is so good and you will never feel the dust in the air and all the classroom have AC.
- The College divided into so many different buildings which create avoidance of rush.
Dislikes
- The parking area is good but here more than 60% own vehicle and sometimes they find it difficult to park .
- The auto drivers are arrogant and charge too much and scam the fresher by asking more money.
- The language problem give the local an upper side and they use it to boost their business
Course Curriculum Overview
I've applied for the artificial intelligence as it is going trending these days . And SRM is one of the few colleges that provide this course . This course is so good and if you compare to the other courses the AI is far better cause we get so many workshop and hand on session every semester which make us to keep learning things like recently I've done th raspberry Pi and in semester 2 we got the instructors from Intel for machine learning things.
Fees and Financial Aid
I fall under the category of defence scholarship as my father serves for Indian Air force . All defence brats get 25% defence scholarship And for that they have to meet the criteria which changes every year but for safe side it is 8 - 8.5 cgpa.
Campus Life
I don't like to involved in so much things so I prefered to not join any club , but what I heard from the colleagues ,the clubs are so fun and sometimes they hang out and do sun activity and you get to meet lot of people of different interest and share their experience, I ve taken part in sports event and landed a first position in table tennis and runner up in football and 100m sprint. The library is free for students and you can visit any time you want and you can borrow the as long as you want.
Admission
I was about to take drop for jee and prepare but my didn't allow me and insisted on me to join a college then I applied for SRM and luckily I cleared the exam and join the colleges with the course in interest. If we talk about college admission it's so simple first you have to online documentation then after 10 days you have to come for enrollment,the enrollment last about 5 days after that Orientation takes place and after that the regular classes of freshers start.
Faculty
The faculty and student ratio is about 1:20.The overall standing of faculties are good but some faculty are very rude to outsider like outside the tamilnadu(student) but the head faculty are chill and very gentle and polite to students . The exam system consists of 3 Cycle test and the final sem or UTE . All cycle convert into 20 marks each which makes a total of 60 marks as internals and And university exams is conducted of 75 which converted into 40 marks and total is 100 to which the cgpa is calculated.
