What Students Say
Likes
- The fees here is minimal and affordable to many families with respect to the course we are getting
- A lot of course options are available here.
- The faculties and staff I've met so far were all so nice and friendly.
Dislikes
- The faculty and staff members are low.... not to low but this is the thing where they lack... not having enough staff
- The system is a bit slow... suppose a new thing is to be start and it takes too long to just start it
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is ba psychology honors... so after NEP2020 its gonna be for 4 years.... but you're free to leave anytime.... like if you complete 1 year it'll be a certificate course.... for 2 year completion you'll get diploma.... for 3 year course you'll get a degree and 4th year will give you degree + honors.... this 4 year course is beneficial since you can do direct phd after this.... ofcourse merit matters here...!!
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities depend on the department and the faculties.... Since 20% of our syllabus is decided by them.... its upto them if they add internships and all into it... you might get intership chances in the end of 2nd year or start of 3rd year.... i don't exactly know if they provide stripend or not.... but what matters you collect a lot of experience and knowledge
Fees and Financial Aid
Since Psychology is a practical course the course costs a little more than others which is minimal.... I've paid 2250 for 1st year and I'll be paying the same for rest years... The amount includes all sort of fees in it... well talking about scholarship.... there's a laptop scheme scholarship which offers free laptops or sometimes money... Its random.... This is on merit basis.... and the students who are from categories like sc, st, ph etc do get some concessions as well
Campus Life
A lot of extracurricular activities are held here.... a lots of festivals are celebrated.... activities like food fest... music night and all.... they even give you a chance to participate in ncc... A lots of clubs are here like broadcast, choir, dance, radio, drama, art, debate, MUN etc.... you can decide whichever to participate
Admission
I applied for du as well and gave cuet but the cuet results took a long time to come so I came to Ravenshaw.... also it is more near to me than DU.... although I have to live in hostel both ways.... but im a kind of person who needs to visit home every month.... so staying in Ravenshaw was more convenient.... it provides nice hostels compared to DU... i don't know exactly if they are better but its on what I've heard before
Faculty
The faculty student ratio differ in every department.... talking about psychology department its like 1:32... The faculty in my department are all good.... they're nice and approachable.... you can approach them whenever you want... They listen to student's views and opinions.... and students have a sort of autonomy here...
