What Students Say

Likes

The faculty is good,and teachers teaches well
Infrastructure is very big and beautiful
Hostel room and hostel food is also good

Dislikes

There is no ac in classroom but they installing now.
There is no lift for students in blocks we use stairs to go on 7th floor
Hostel is vey far from university my hostel is Zakir and I need to travel 2-3 km daily for my acedemic block

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many subjects like human universal physiology,employ skills,communication skills etc are teches in cu For the mst s there are 1 hour and mst are 20 marks and end semester exam are of 60 marks

Internships Opportunities

Internship are available after 1 st year and there good opportunities for internships you can get internship if you do hardwood consistently and manage your time well if you do hardwork you can easily get internship

Placement Experience

Placements are good in cu the avg package offered is 6.4 LPA and i talked to seniors also they tell me placements are good if you do hardwork consistently and one of 60-70%students are get placed and 20 %get there dream package

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees of BE cse in cu is 136000 per semester But I got 25% scholarship so I paid 102000 for ist two semesters, scholarship will continue in 3rd semester if you score 7.5 cgpa and maintain 75% attendance For scholarship there is a test in cu which is cucet. It is 100 number test if you get 90 above you get 100 % scholarship if you score more than 80 you get 50% scholarship if you get 50 then you get 25%scholarship

Campus Life

Overall experience is very good and there are many clubs like cricket club, tech clubs, chess clubs you can join any acc to you interest,daca organisze many function daily like dance,acting and ,standups

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faculty is very good and supportive and hostel rooms are very good and managed verywell Hostel room cleaned every day and fans are also cleaned one's in month and overall building is also neat and clean

Hostel Fee: INR 138000 per year

Admission

This university has good infrastructure and beautiful campus and it is near around Chandigarh so you can go and chill in weekends and cu have very good hostel rooms and its hostel food is also very good

Faculty is very good , in cu tere is a batch of 76 students which is further divided into 38 and 38 students,physics and maths faculty is very good There are three type exams in one semester mst1 mst2 est in ist year all things are easy

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
