Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Nowadays there is a lot of demand for computer science engineers, and also interest in computer and programming language influenced me to choose this course. Talking about the course curriculum, so the subjects in our syllabus are much needed and we need to study those subjects deeply to excel in our academics. Positive point here is that there are subjects for making projects in each semester, and if a student seriously takes the load to complete projects then it is very helpful for real word scenarios. For the areas to improve, we should be given tasks to study the programming language in demand, then only we will be able to take advantage of the subject for making projects. So, there are Mid-semester and End-semester exams in every semester, which almost occur in the gap of two and a half months and class tests are also held.

Placement Experience

1.5

The Placement Scenario, particularly for tech related jobs, in our college is not so good. Some of the students are left unplaced and if some get placed their salary is not that good to survive in today's world. Some companies do arrive here for placements but the students are not capable enough to crack a simple job role due to lack of basic programming skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Detailed Fee Structure for BTech (CSE - core) 1st Year - Tuition Fees - 2,10,000 Admission + examination fees - 32,000 2nd Year Tution Fees - 2,16,300 Addmission + examination fees - 17,000 3rd Year Tution Fees - 2,22,789 Addmission + examination fees - 17,000 4th Year Tuition Fees - 2,29,473 Addmission + examination fees - 17,000 Total fees for BTech (2023-2027) - 9,61,562 The tuition fees amount increases approximately Rs. 10,000 for every new academic year. Scholarships are given to students on their tution fees. Merit Based Scholarships are given to student based on their class 12th PCM marks, CUET marks, JEE rank, scholarships can vary from 10% to 100%. Other scholarships such as Defence, Arts and Culture, Sibling, Sports, Bihar Student Credit award, etc. are also available. Their is a policy for continuation of scholarship after the first year, and majorly you need to score 8 CGPA above and maintain 75% attendance.

Campus Life

4

Overall campus life is good at Sharda, there are lots of places to hang out with friends or self within the campus only. A person can develop a good social life here beacause of the diversity. We have annual cultural fest "Chorus" (of three days) and we students enjoy a lot in those three days. Annual Tech Fest "Contrivance" also happens. There are lots of clubs here, Technova the technical society of our college; pixelance club; GDSC club; Enterpreneurs Club, etc. There are various sports group also present such as badminton, football, basketball, and usually there are various competitions also happening.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are various types of rooms present, student can go for three-seater, two-seater or single seater; with AC or without AC rooms. In rooms, the basic things such as bed, table, chair, cupboard, window curtains is provided to the student. Students have to bring their own matteress, pillow, bed sheets, pillow, bucket, lock and the other things needed. In hot summers, the non-AC rooms are very hot. Meal Quality is good, with a menu which is decided priorly by the mess community every year, and every week we get the meal according to the menu, sometimes the meal becomes monotonous. The registeration process is smooth, but it depends on the availability of the hostel rooms. Talking about affordability, so there are almost every kind of rooms present depending on your budget. There are also affordable hostel and PG present outside the campus, which is not so far from campus and the locality is good.

Admission

I applied to Galgotias University, Amity University and Lovely Professional University and got addmission letter from all of them because I had good marks in JEE and Class 12th but I chose Sharda University because of the scholarship benefit it gave me and the overall fees of the 1st year was reduced, The admission process in Sharda University is very smooth and one does not face any difficulty while taking admission, also you get help if you face any difficulty. You can apply for Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT) and based on that score yoy get admission or you can also get admission directly if you have good 12th class score or any other competitve exam score.

Faculty

3

There are different kind of faculty members - - talking about positive side, some of our faculty take the load of making us get introduced to the real world scenario of the placements and interviews. - some of the faculty members are average, they are just focussed on finishing the syllabus. - some of them are very good with their core computer subjects which is helpul if a person is preparing for any exam.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
