Good Infrastructure and atmosphere. Friendly Environment.
Good teaching facilities and Lab equipments.

Dislikes

No seperate Department events are not conducted for my Batch.
Attendance is strongly followed leads to detain.
No books are provided. But Library has variety of books.

Course Curriculum Overview

I particularly have interest in mechanical field. and the curriculum also provides enough information about the subjects clearly. Labs and workshops are conducted often to further improve curriculum. The timings of exams are conducted every semester end and also internals are conducted every month.

semester procedure starts from 6th semester end. training is provided anf from 7th semester placements will start recruiting. Foxconn, Caterpilar, Yamaha, are the top recruiters an thery have recruited about 25 students. Highest package includes 12 LPA and average package is 4 to 5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

course fee per year is 250000. This is only a couse fee examination are paid seperately. Registration fee is rs 1500. All categories comes under this fee structure. Sports quota is available for international level sports competitions.

Campus Life

Annual fests conducted every year namely Milan and Aarush. Milan a international level cultural, tech and sports fest. Aarush a purely Technical fest. Library is quiet big and have more than 1000 of boonbs per each deapartment. DSA is a group for these activities to be happen.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels includes Both AC and Non-AC. It has 4 sharing, 3 sharing, and 2 sharing facilities. Attached and non attached Faclities also available. Registration process is totally online where you can select your favourite rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

eligibility is 55% of marks in Maths,Physics and Chemistry. Appilcation forms are found in University website home page.Application fee comes around 1500. Exams are conducted monthly for internal marks and in semester end university exam is conducted both theory and practicals.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
