Course Curriculum Overview

As I am pursuing CSE, the college is providing courses based on the company's desire as well as currently going on like AI or ML cloud computing, etc. and the teachers are quite efficient as well the teaching methods are good. The course curriculum is good.

Internships Opportunities

The university organizes the summer internship and the winter camp for the students in which they can get a 2 month internship and also you can apply to any foreign company for the job and internship as well.

Placement Experience

By the ending of 6th semester companies started to arrive and from the last year over the 900 companies have arrived and over the 9000 students get selected the company's like Google,Flipkart ,nokia etc has visited.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently which I am paying the fee for a year is 1,80,000 which is 90000 per semester and now for the freshers the fee has been amended to 1,35,000 per semester for B.E(CSE). You can apply for a scholarship as given by the university. To avail of a scholarship you have to take an exam on the basis of which you will get awarded. Also, you can get a scholarship on the basis of your 12th result as well as jee exam.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is world-class, the design of the University is good the parks are well maintained the roads are clean you'll get dustbins with every 10m gap so the university is clean there are a lot of social activities and co-curricular activities are also there.

Admission

As Chandigarh University is a private university so admission for the freshers starts in June-July and lasts till December and mid comers are also get admission easily and there are some fee concessions for the lower caste as well

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is great, there are 6000 students in CSE and there are approximately 1200 teachers so for the 50 to 1 ratio and also the faculty is highly educated. You can interact with teachers anytime.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
