Entrance Preview

I had appeared for MPPET(Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test) which is now closed as all students get colleges on the basis of IIT JEE nowdays. I got 103 marks with 6096 rank in this entrance exam and got admission in SVITS (Shri Vaishnav Institute Of Technology & Science) which is one of the Best colleges of University RGPV(Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishvavidhyalaya) and as well as of MP engineering colleges. This made me to fill it on top of my college selection list at the time of counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum was not good as it is affiliated by RGPV which puts most of the unimportant and irrelevent subjects in this degree course of B.E in all streams. But now Course curriculum has been revised by RGPV and may be now it will be beneficial for upcoming students.

Internships Opportunities

Students are to go anywhere for internships and college provides MTA (Microsoft Technical Associate) certificates as internship and nothing more. All and all No internship experience.

Placement Experience

In terms of Placements,College is good as it is very old and renowned college in Engineering in MP but mostly for CS and IT studnets. Many Software companies visit college but in other streams like Civil and mechnical. Placements are very average. Tcs,Cybage,Systngo,Vauelabs,Zensar,Impetus and such software companies visit every year and 95% CS students are placed at the end of Course Completion.

College Events

Not any good culturals,Management festivals or technical festivals are held.

Campus Life

Campus Life good in terms of placements. Not good in terms of Faculty and teaching. Gender Ratio : Boys:Girls - 65-35 (Accoring to my observation)Labs computers labs are good. Rest are average,Sports a huge sports complex for Badminton,Chess,TT and such indoor games.Competitions no such competitions held.

Hostel Facilities

As I was a local student I do not know much about hostels but what I know is that Boys Hostels is just in front of college campus and Girls hostel is away from campus in crowdy area near Palasia.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Faculty

Faculties are rarely good. A very few faculties are good and you gain more with like minded brilliant students rather than faculty teaching.

The absolute truth about SIRT

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students will be getting placement notification, there is an app called pod AI to monitor your placement companies and how much you applied, and your eligibility for company, if you are from electrical branch you will recieve polycab , EXL , a1 fence , solar square . There was about 10 companies visited but absolutely 0 opportunity in IT companies if you are from electrical branch. Average branch package is 2.4 lacks per annum About 50% of students got placed My plans after degree is to go for off campus opportunity

Nice college

Placement Experience:

After completing the four-year degree, the college does provide placement, but I don’t know much about it yet because I haven’t seen many companies visiting the college. So far, I’ve only seen four or five companies. There aren’t any major companies coming in. Also, when placements happen, it’s unclear how many students got placed, how many didn’t, what the packages were, or what the highest package was. From what I’ve seen, the placement seems to be average at best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed by the college is slightly old in comparision to iits and nits but it is better than most of the remaining colleges. But the curriculum could be improved.The curriculum is based on more theoretical approach and less practical approach for some branches.The teaching methodology is good . Teachers use smart boards if they need. The frequency of the exams and msts are good but they also include demo which makes it hectic.

OCT Bhopal is outstanding!!

Placement Experience:

Highesht package so far has been of 34 lakhs per annum and average though is 6 LPA. This average is considering all departments as for pur department it is of 10 LPA. Wipro, Amazon, Tisco and Mindtree are some companies out of lets say 50 odd which shows up every year. My plan is to do an MBA program and i am preparing for CAT too.

Placement Experience:

I do not have the detailed knowledge about placements of our college but i guess 900+ companies visits yearly in our college and almost every student gets placed. Big companies and MNCs also comes in our college to hire. 90%+ students get placed. I will going to have a job after getting the degree and will not go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

College provide us opportunity to sit in campus placement from 7th semester. There is number of companies visits in college like vipro, redhat,tcs etc. Highest package is 20-25lack per year and average is 5 lakh.my plan is to get directly campus placement.
