Likes

Provides industrial training / internship which gives a dynamic view and experience of the industry .
Provides some of the best facilities in the college with 3 kitchens for 3years and 2 restaurants for efficient learning .
Well trained and industry experienced teaching staff.

Dislikes

A lot of times we get a lot of pressure in term's of academics not a negative view but sometimes becomes difficult to handle.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Institute is best in its work providing some of the best experiences and training for the budding hospitality enthusiasts . With industrial training the student's get experience of the industry and college sets a base for the students necessary for the same .

Internships Opportunities

The college provides excellent internship opportunities to the students . Placed in some of the best hotels for a span of 4-5months , Students learn about all the departments in a hotel ,the work life, the atmosphere etc.

Placement Experience

Campusing starts from 5th semester with 100+ companies arriving to the college to provide jobs. The college provides ample opportunities to settle in companies according to their choice . Some of the companies include Taj, Oberoi's, Hyatt, ITC, Marriott, Reliance, Duty Free, Sodexo etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees varies from semester to semester and not more than 650000-70000 per semester the overall semester fee is 3.5-4lakh and a detailed semester fees report is published by the college in their website .

Campus Life

A very interactive campus with a ground , badminton court and a basketball court as well. The college provides ample opportunities fpr students to participate in games and sports. Sports weeks are organised to compete against each other.

Admission

A basic graduation from class 12 with minimum 65% from any board .Students are to give the NCHMJEE exam following which they are placed according to ranks in various ihm across thr country . A specific quota of seats are reserved for the SC,ST & OBC class. The exams are conducted once a year generally between March -July

Faculty

The faculty members are either experienced hoteliers and hospitality experienced or have passed for the designation through nhmtet which is a joint entrance exam for being a lecturer in the college . A very friendly atmospheric and helpful faculty helps the students to grow well

IHM Pusa - An Inside View

Placement Experience:

In second year of college, all the stuidents are required to go for Industrial training where many groups/organisations accept applications for Industrial trainees. Many hotel chains like The LEELA, ITC, LALIT, etc,. visit the college for placements along with other organisations from different industries as well. Post pandemic, the placement ratio has sky-rocketed to 70-80%.

In 2nd year we go for the industrial training for 6 months minimum and in IT also there placements are very good you can do you IT from abroad also as some of my batch mates and me also going Mauritius for our 6 months industrial training and the job placements are good too minimum 2,00,000 annual and maximum 450000 annual in starting 95% students get placements and 5% are those who want to go other hotel by there own

Remarks:

The college is too small . The committee's should try to build a big and spacious campus for the students .Rest everything is good . As it is one of the best college in India. According to me it should provide free afternoon meal to all the students in a day as the students spend a lot by having food outside and wasting the money.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths. My overall admission experience was okay, but the approval process took a long time. In my case, it took almost 3 months to finally get the confirmation of admission....Read More
