Course Curriculum Overview

The course is B.E CSE which I am currently enrolled in. Here , u have various programming languages during duration of ur course which u will learn in semesters. Here, they also focus to improve ur English and grammar which quite helps a lot. Speaking skills are taken a lot in action.

Placement Experience

Here u can start getting placed from 3rd year. Multiple companies visit here and record no of offers are made to students. Highest national package was around 51 lakhs. Students with good cgpa get placed easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

So here the fees for general CSE is currently 137500/ semester which is the tution fees. Also , you have to give a entrance scholarship exam cucet which gives u scholarship upto 100 percent based on ur marks in the exam. Also there are scholarship criteria based on 12 th marks like if u scored above 90 percent u get 50 percent scholarship.

Campus Life

Here they have different clubs and societies for different activites . You can join anything of ur interest and can learn or enhance ur skills. They have multiple sports complexes and ground where u can do ur thing. The library has great collection of books which are easily available

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room come in various option like 5 seater , 4 seater , 3 seater , 2 seater and 1 seater in a.c and non a.c for you to choose in between . They provide a bed, almirah, study table , internet services and gym to all the people of hostel. Food is good and diversity is also present. U can register for hostel on ur cuims portal.

Hostel Fee: INR 106500 per year

Admission

U can register urself for the entrance exam cucet on cuchd which is offical site of university.u have to pay 1000 rupees to appear for the exam which is an online exam u can give from ur laptop from home.during exam u will be monitored by invigilator who can give u four strikes. Exams are on level of 10+2.

Faculty

Each class is divided in 2 sections A and B. Which contains 30 to 35 students each. So, u can learn things if u want to. The faculty and mentors are supportive and will help u to learn things. U can ask doubts easily to teachers even after class.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
