The life in GADVASU

The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding veterinary. Theoretical subjects have anatomy, physiology , livestock production and management in depth about all the species like equines, ovines, bovines, small animals etc. these respective subjects have their own practicals classes too. And we get opportunity to handle app of the animals to study about their behaviour and general structure. Teachers Teachers on smart boards and black bords according to needs. They make presentation regarding the chapter and represent in front of class and after that give us practical knowledge regarding what they taught us in theory. So the theory gets revised also and we get practical knowledge also.

In my case, I got scholarships! First of all, my university is a goverment University. And I got admission from government quota. I had a good rank during the admission time and got 1000/month scholarship for my 1st year. Next to this, it presents different scholarships for categories as well as for those whose family income is below certain limit. And I applied for it . And I got 37000 tuition fee refund which I gave during my first year. Anyone eligible under criteria can apply for the scholarships. There is sports quota and scholarships also. Further relaxation can be done by talking to the committee members and further to Dean sir for further relaxation in fees. So the biggest one is YOUTH FESTIVAL. It generally happens in November and many activities occur in which ang student of any course from gadvasu can take part. They can take part in theatre, debate, elocution, dance, Bhangra, gidda, luddi, singing etc. the preparations for youth fest start 1 and a half month before. And after college ends bhangra practice occurs in which anyone can come and join them in Bhangra just for fun. Shortlisted students get selected for final performance. Winner teams get trophies, certificates and extra 1 marks for each exam. Another event is athletic meet. It doesn't happen every year but special guests are invited during this. Many students get opportunity to participate and show their skills. And we have our gadvasu's library filled with different kind of course books as well as journals. Any student of the University can issue books or read them in library. We have smart boards in every classroom.

Admission to my course happens on the basis of NEET marks. But my university offers many more courses such as in dairy science,fisheries and biotechnology. Fir general category marks should be around 540 in neet. Reserved categories get benefits, there is quota for SC,ST,OBC,BC, border area, rural area etc. anyone can read about all this on gadvasu's official site. We have 3 internal exams during a year and 1 external exam at the end of the year. Then if we have 3 subjects in first year then practicals for these subject will be held after externals in 2 portions. Students can easily reach admission office. It generally happens near dean's office. Every staff is very supportive and will help in any case. There is canteen just outside the college so parents and students can also sit there and have some snacks. There are many canteens in my campus which also provide proper meals.

As my batch have 126 students so it would have been difficult to handle all of them in single class. So they divided us into two classes . And got practical purpose they divided us into 4 groups of approx 30 student in each group. So it becomes much easy to see practicals.
