Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I always had an interest in helping animals because they just can not tell us what is exactly wrong. In GADVASU there are about 134 teachers in the faculty of COVS, 18 in COF, and 22 in CODST.

Class Size: 113Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A one-year compulsory internship is included in the course with a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000. In this, you have to work in the clinics with duties divided among medicine, surgery, gynecology, emergency, etc.

Placement Experience

Placements are one of the highlights of GADVASU. GADVASU guarantees you with High placement ratio. Moreover, You can go to private clinics, govt. jobs are plenty. One can also go for NAVALE if he/she is interested in going abroad.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The Fee is about 94k/year. The hostel charges are about 13k/year. There are scholarships available like Post Matric Scholarship for SC and OBC students, Merit-based scholarships, etc. GADVASU gives you a good placement for jobs.

Campus Life

Life on campus is just amazing. The campus is just so beautiful, you can not imagine. The cultural programs are awesome. The time of Youth Festival is truly unforgettable. The athletic meet has its own glory.

Hostel Facilities

I had chosen a hostel. The hostel is good. The mess is very good, You can not find that a good mess anywhere. The hostel facilities are good. The registration process is just simple and is conducted along with the admission process.

Hostel Fee: INR 13000 per year

Admission

Earlier Admission was through an entrance exam for Veterinary conducted by GADVASU itself but now admission is through the NEET exam conducted by NTA. Admission is based on merit. You can find the application forms on the official website of GADVASU.

The life in GADVASU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding veterinary. Theoretical subjects have anatomy, physiology , livestock production and management in depth about all the species like equines, ovines, bovines, small animals etc. these respective subjects have their own practicals classes too. And we get opportunity to handle app of the animals to study about their behaviour and general structure. Teachers Teachers on smart boards and black bords according to needs. They make presentation regarding the chapter and represent in front of class and after that give us practical knowledge regarding what they taught us in theory. So the theory gets revised also and we get practical knowledge also.

Admission:

Students passing 1+2 with physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects with 50% marks are eligible for apply for the CET exam which is a college entrance exam for students willing to study BVSC Curriculum .Even AIPVT is acceptable.

Well-reputed college.

Remarks:

More events could be made possible in this college which is a small drawback. Other than that, I dont find any negative side to it. Classrooms are big enough to hold a huge number of students at the same time. Internet facility is available.

College management was sometimes baised in case of fights at hostel level and then punishment by the management to both the parties due to some links with the professors.

The life in GADVASU

Admission to my course happens on the basis of NEET marks. But my university offers many more courses such as in dairy science,fisheries and biotechnology. Fir general category marks should be around 540 in neet. Reserved categories get benefits, there is quota for SC,ST,OBC,BC, border area, rural area etc. anyone can read about all this on gadvasu's official site. We have 3 internal exams during a year and 1 external exam at the end of the year. Then if we have 3 subjects in first year then practicals for these subject will be held after externals in 2 portions. Students can easily reach admission office. It generally happens near dean's office. Every staff is very supportive and will help in any case. There is canteen just outside the college so parents and students can also sit there and have some snacks. There are many canteens in my campus which also provide proper meals....Read More
