Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is provided at the start of each semester in a very detailed and planned manner which includes the respective learning outcomes of the topics included in the course. The curriculum is related to the real-world knowledge and experience that is required in the corporate world. However, the course can be a little more practical instead of the theory sessions as that would enhance the learning and understanding of concepts. In each semester there are two mid-semester tests and an end-semester examination that helps evaluate the learning capability of students.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, they offer internships to students who academically qualify for the respective roles in their respective fields. But the college does not fund the expenses like travel and stay. Many companies offer internships to students at Chandigarh University.

Placement Experience

4

Chandigarh University offers on-campus placements with an average package of 8 LPA. The Department of career planning and Development is very organized and takes responsibility of each individual by providing personal attention and guiding them through every step. They offer seminars and awareness programs to encourage and discipline students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of Chandigarh University is a little unjustified to me but the scholarship they offer through their online cucet scholarship admission test is a very good opportunity for students to avail upto 100% scholarship by scoring 100% in the test.

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure is very modern yet unique which makes campus life very joyful. participation in clubs and societies in the university is appreciated and encouraged. They even provide funding if a student wins a national-level event and requires funding for projects. There is a strict policy against ragging. The vast cultural differences are celebrated and enjoyed by everyone.

Admission

Eligibility for the course depends on the type of course you are opting for and the admission process was very simple to me as the management was very cooperative and helped guide me through each of the courses like what did the particular courses offer. everything was very well explained and the entire process was stress and hassle-free. overall it was a great experience.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty-to-student ratio at Chandigarh University is 14:1, a very decent ratio as it provides better connections and understanding of subjects from faculty members. Here the faculty has a smart and interactive way of teaching, which includes hands-on practice and smart class experience, enhancing the learning experience. each class has two groups and each group has a mentor, whom the students can approach as and when required for guidance in academics and other project-related queries.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
