Course Curriculum Overview

The course helps me to analyse political parties and pressure groups, judge the quality of governance and administration and understand the decision making process of India . To improve the teaching learning method I would like all the teachers to make use of advanced technology to teach lessons in the class, because only some uses it. This will enchance the teaching learning process And overall learning of the students

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

our college avail financial assistance to students who are in need of it. We have to fill the form to avail it which I think is very helpful to students. Every year we get scholarship. We can either apply on the state or national portal. The amount of scholarship is ?7500 maxed. The college fees structure is very reasonable. We only pay 4500-4700 per semester. Ofcourse the first semester fee is different since we pay for the uniform and all too.

Campus Life

There are not much festivals that are held in our college but I remember Harbinger fest which is held in the month of February which is too good I will really appreciate if the college organise more events and festivals. Our College football team is one of the best Teams. We won the last to inter college tournament which was held last year.

Admission

The admissions was done through entrance exam . We applied through the college official website We registered and filled the necessary details. The thing I didn't like about the admission process was the online application fee and because it was Govt college we expect it to be free. And since only few gets selected for the college I think the fee for online application is useless and I don't appreciate it

Faculty

The teachers are approachable and always ready to help. Ofcourse some are strict but overall the college faculty is up to the expectations. Teachers are always ready to help which enhance the learning process

My College-Pros and Cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose for Economics because for me unlike other subject economics is a reliable course which has a good rate of success in career and also has things to do with real life implications. Everything around us that involves money is economics! From exports and imports to buying sugar from the local shops involves the fundamentals of economics, therefore I think taking economics provides a lead in life because it teaches us how the economic world functions and provides knowledge both mathematically and theoretically which keeps us updated and aware. Unlike other subjects which has limited exams and only allows the students to write specific exams, economics has exams its own exam which provides us employment in the financial sectors and also if a person does not want to opt for it they can also appear other exams which provides them advantage. However, learning is great but learning and implying the learned knowledge makes us know more about the learned topics, therefore I would also like to say that providing students the opportunity to explore and giving them the chance to imply those mathematical equations in real life could be an area the institution could work better on.

Remarks:

Our college has all the infrastructures that a student need for basic learning but not all for a complete standardized exposure linked to our talents. The attendance weight age is quite attentively followed and students may be dropped just because of the attendance. It's quite far from here town so, usually alot of people stay in the hostel, and staying in the hostel seems to be painful since the areas adjoin the college is a highway, and we don't have access to towns and good shops nearby in order to get our need full filled. Apart from my studies I'm also having a good time with my professors.

Review on dimapur government college

This college has very good reputation academically,on top of that it's budget friendly. Imagine having highly qualified teachers teaching u in low budget,anyone would want that. Although the college and facilities aren't as fancy as those private colleges like Tetso who only give more importance to co curricular activities and aesthetics.They have too many events and more money spending. Here in DGC it's balanced. I opted for Unity college Dimapur in case I did not pass the entrance exam for Dimapur government college.Not like I got rejected or anything.
