Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the chemical engineering course because as we know after the coronavirus pandemic the computer science background and IT have completely collapsed, I decided to choose the branch that is completely irrelevant to the computer science department so I thought chemical engineering is the best option. But we have some subjects which are related to computer science, I feel it's okay. There are some areas which need improvement like the teaching style of the faculty and the main important thing is that we also have some computer software regarding chemical engineering they have to teach us in the department but unfortunately we have to take the courses out of the college by paying thousands of money. Exams timetable will be very efficient and comfortable and coming to the exam pattern the exam paper will be difficult compared to other colleges in my opinion and the investigation is also very strict.

Internships Opportunities

5

Doing an internship is very important for students of jntu by the completion of 3rd year of course every student has to do an internship. The internship will be considered a minor project and there will be some credits provided for minor projects. We have to give a presentation regarding the internship and we have to write a report. Our department will help us to get an internship and giving stipend is completely based on the company. Doing an internship is very important because we can explore more regarding our core-related future. College will give us some holidays like 1 month to do the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good in JNTU College, students will be able to attend the placement after the completion of 3rd year of the course, and students can get placed according to their interests. There are so many companies that will visit our campus for placement offers, the company will select students based on their vacancies. The package will be different for different branches like computer science department will be getting highest package. Almost 70% of students will be placed in every department. The only thing is that there are some rules to sit for placements like one had to get only one jog after getting that they can't sit for other companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I got into the college the tuition fee was like 35000 but as our juniors are coming the tuition fee has been increased to 45000 and now it is like 75000. The scholarship will be given specifically for some caste people like general, sc, and st, and the merit students based on their eamcet rank. We have to pay 5000 rupees in the first year of college except for tuition fees. This money is for some general requirements like lab fees and ID card fees. We have to pay the semester fee for every semester, fee is like 765 rupees. Students can get government colleges to study in the college, in my perspective the college will not provide any kind of scholarship. We can apply for all kinds of scholarships out of college.

Campus Life

4.5

College life will be awesome in JNTU. Jntu will encourage all kinds of cultural events, technical events, and so on. We have two libraries in our college one is the college library which is small and we will be having all academic related books. Another one is the University library which is really huge and we will have all kinds of academic books, journals, thesis, magazines, and newspapers. Every year our college will conduct some events regarding sports and gives us prizes. We will be having so many clubs in the college and one student can be involved in three clubs based on their interest.

Admission

There is an eligibility criteria for every branch. The cut off will be high for computer science department. After completion of all counsellings we have to submit our certificate to the college. We have to do these before the due date if we won't submit our seat will be cancelled in the college. The college won't take any kind of application fee before joining. For mid-exams, we will be having 2 hours time and for semester exams we will be having 3 hours time. I feel that semester exam time has to be increased because the difficulty level of the exam papers will be high compared to other colleges. The college administration needs improvement regarding the admission process. They won't inform us anything about the due date and admission process we have to figure it out and make updates on due dates.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are very nice to students. The ratio will be 1:15. Faculty members will be interactive and give suggestions to us at every step like doing internships and projects. They are very strict when coming to the mid and sem exams. They won't tell us important questions and they won't tell us anything about the question papers. Coming to the experience faculty members are well educated and mostly we will see assistant professors rather than professors. They prepare very nicely before coming to the class. They will prepare PPTs and PDFs regarding every chapter. We can contact our faculty whenever we want, they are always available in the department. They will talk very nicely with students.

In convener qouta so i have no chance to choose branch or college . If i have a chance to change college defintly i will .In this college first the mindset of the founder, director should change from school pattern to college pattern and they should focus on college implementation not in students personal issues .The exams will happen after every 4 months in between 2 months internals will be conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good as of now. But can change a little bit becuase in 4 years we will have 8 sems and 40 subjects. Subjects should be divided in such a way that it should not get burden on the students. In some sems they will just 4 or 3 subjects that will effect other sems by having 7or 8 subjects at a time. That is really tough to clear all subjects at a time that may leave pressure on the students. And another suggestion in teaching methods was therotical class and practical class has to be done parallelly because if theory classes of particular topic has been completed in this week and pratical classes of that particular topic will be executed in some other week lab sessions. That may create confusion in students and there might get forgot what they have learnt in that week. If the theory and practical classes happened parallely they will gain hands on experience on how the things will work and they can understand more better.
