Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to become a Software Engineer that's why I chose Information Technology as my branch. The curriculum is decent and needs some improvement. Some subjects like ALP, CAO are of no use in IT sector so I think it must be changed. Semester Exams are scheduled every 6 months and timings are 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
Internships Opportunities
MEPSE and MAHAJYOTI are two associations which are tied up with our college for Skill Development Training program. There is no company which come in our college for internships. There are only skill development programs and seminars are conducted.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester, students are eligible for Campus placements. Accenture is the first company which visited in the month of January and took 21 students for 4.5 lpa. Then lot of companies visited but majority are for girls like HSBC bank, Neeyamo, Capgemini, etc. HSBC bank took 1 girl and Capgemini took 24 girls. Highest Salary is 20 lpa and Average salary is 4.5 lpa. 648 students out of 800 students got placements which means 81% students got placed. I want to do Masters after getting degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of college is 1,20,000 for general category students and for OBC category the fee is 66,000 and for ST/NT category the fee is 14,000 and for SC category students there is no fees. Several scholarships are there like LPF (Lila Poonawala Foundation) scholarship for talented girls of not wealthy background.
Campus Life
Every year annual festival held in the month of February which is Aashayein. The number of books in the library are around 10000. The classrooms are well equipped and every classroom has projector. Sports Activities are also conducted in the Aashayein event and 1 day is dedicated for it. Several sports like Box cricket, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi are there. Quiz competition, Treasure hunt also conducted.
Admission
The admission process is through MHT CET exam. In year 2020 where I took admission the cut off for Computer Science branch is 78 percentile and I got 77.28 percentile that's why I took admission in Information Technology. Application form, Application Dates all are published on MHT CET website. I think there is no need of improvement as of now because all things are managed beautifully.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:6 For example in our Information Technology department the faculty are 25 and students are 152. The faculties are highly experienced and very supportive. I often interact with teachers and they are very supportive and clear my doubts.
