What Students Say
Likes
- the campus is quite good ,by the way it is one of the top college in our state due to its infrastructure ,faculty and placements
- the hostel facilities provided for fees of 130000 is worth it i think
- good canteen food and there are many places to relax after the classes are complete
Dislikes
- the ground is not properly maintained that's a concern but the fact that the ground is quite big enough.
- at entrance there is always someone who observes dress code the thing is that we should not wear collar less shirts or t-shirts
- for our class few faculties are not so good enough
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because due to the advent of AI I felt this would be one sector that would grow most by the time I graduate. There are many other factors that influenced my choice like my rank, my parents' decision, etc. Coming to the curriculum is well structured to encounter real-world problems and solve them easily, there is something called a course-based project which should be done based on the learnings in the whole semester for which some marks are awarded. I don't have any suggestions for the course curriculum I feel it is good enough. The problem comes with the frequency and timing of exams i sometimes feel that I am writing exams so often that I dont get time to spend on personal growth.
Internships Opportunities
As per my knowledge, a company named JP MORGAN visits our college to provide internship opportunities for 2nd-year students for which mostly computer science students are eligible very rarely ece students and other branches are completely ignored. It is a very large company, one of the largest banks in the world. It hires for a Software engineer role. This is what I know.
Placement Experience
somewhere around 2nd year, a company named JP MORGAN visits the college to give internships for which most of the time CS-related students are only eligible it depends on the company. I also have knowledge that last year Oracle also visited our college for internships and full-time opportunities. Mostly most of the students get placed it is mandatory for students to not have any backlogs by the end of 4th year then only they are eligible for placements. My plan is to try off-campus for a data analyst role if chances come through college I will definitely not miss it.
Fees and Financial Aid
As admission takes place based on eamcet exam, if we get a rank less than 10000 then we will get full fee reimbursement i.e have to pay 0 tution fee but if the rank is above 10000 then a normal 135000 is applicable as a fee and there something like miscellaneous fee like around 10000 that have to be paid every year. As laptops would be essential college helps in providing laptops to students who don't have or can't afford high prices, at very low prices something like wholesale.
Campus Life
When I entered college after a few weeks there was a freshers event held, which was good and enjoyable. After a few weeks biggest technical fest was held for 3 days where students could participate in workshops, learn technical skills, and at the end get a certificate. Books and journals are easily accessible from the library there is nothing to worry about this. There is also a digital library where we have computers to work. Sports facilities are provided by the ground is not maintained well so most of the people doesn't show up interest to play. Student-run social groups and clubs are quite popular and there are many of them that will have a good impact on student life.
Hostel Facilities
As per hostel is concerned it is maintained very neat and clean and food is prepared by taking safety and hygenic measures to nothing to worry about food. The quality of food is average in the sense not so bad.The hostel fees is 130000 . Per room there will be only 3 members if main hostel is concerned but there is another hostel 3km away which is only for 1st years and this one is good ,neat but problem is there would be many roommates for some of the rooms.
Admission
There is no such eligibility of course its just that one should be able to get a seat through eamcet counseling and should satisfy the cut-off rank which normally changes every year. If someone has a reservation then it makes it much easier for them to get a seat whose cut-off is high. Due to reservation, the miscellaneous fee will also be less. The exams conducted are not very tough it's just that to score good marks a student should attend most of the classes, listen well, and complete that day's work on that day itself. the admission process is straightforward.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is good enough, in my opinion, it doesn't not have much impact on the learning experience. Almost all the faculties are highly qualified, Most of them hold PG degrees or PHDs.Frankly speaking, i don't interact much with my faculty due to many reasons but i feel interaction is good and would help in many ways. Even though i dont interact much I have been noticed by my faculty well enough. Everyone has their own approach towards teaching, i feel our most of the faculty are good in thier own tasks and capabilities giving us good knowledge about subjects. Overall the result depends on the way we work , the faculties responsibilty is upto 30% only the rest should be done to achieve result.
