Course Curriculum Overview
Architecture is all about learning and implementation. So in the curriculum, we have to make models and bring out ideas to life which really influenced my decision. We are asked to present and talk about our work so we can talk to clients, which prepares us for the real world. One improvement I would like to see is the use of more softwares in the curriculum since 1st year. The exams are mediocre, not too hard, not too easy and the frequency is twice a semester which is pretty good.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee remains the same for every year. Complete cost comes out around 7 lakhs including everything. EBC scheme is available for students with income under 8 lakhs. Internships in architecture aren't alloted through campus, you have to search them for yourself as an experience.
Campus Life
KARANDAK a very famous festival is conducted around spring season. And it is very lively. There is a 5 floor library dedicated to all the courses provided by the campus plus a seperate library for architecture. Technology can be better in classrooms. The Student council is a part of the whole campus. And Susamwad, is a committee for architecture students which decide and organize events in the college like teachers day, sports day, etc.
Admission
NATA+ BOARDS and JEE 2 was the eligibility for the entering the college. The cut off for merit score was around 100 and i had 131. I did not avail any reservation benefits. NATA is a pretty easy competitive exam but JEE 2 is pretty hard. The admission process should be online as well, so that students don't have to stand in lines.
Faculty
The faculty is very experienced, and some teachers have been teaching for more than 15 years. The overall environment is very friendly and teachers are understanding and mature. For every 30 students there are 3 teachers per lecture, so every student is looked after. They are very good mentors and teach very passionately. Interaction with teachers is almost everyday and they are very approachable.
